Highlights
  • Valley of the Kings - Your expert Egyptologist guide will pick you up from your location in Luxor and take you to the Theban Necropolis on Luxor’s west bank. Begin your tour at the renowned Valley of the Kings, where you’ll explore three tombs of famous ancient Egyptian pharaohs. This valley was the main burial site for major royal figures of the Egyptian New Kingdom. You will also have the opportunity to visit the tombs of Tutankhamen, Ramses VI, and Seti I (additional tickets required).
  • Temple of Hatshepsut - Next, visit the mortuary temple of Queen Hatshepsut (1490-1469 B.C.) at Deir el Bahari. The temple is notable for its three terraces and colonnaded halls. Learn about the first recorded trading expedition to the land of Punt (modern-day Somalia).
  • Valley of the Nobles - Continue to the Valley of the Nobles, which offers insights into daily life, religious practices, and beliefs in ancient Egypt. The beautifully decorated tombs and vibrant scenes showcase the skill and creativity of ancient Egyptian artisans.
  • Temple of Medinat Habu - Visit the Mortuary Temple of Ramses III at Medinet Habu, the best-preserved and second-largest temple in Luxor after the Karnak temple complex.
  • Colossi of Memnon - Conclude your west bank tour with a photo stop at the Colossi of Memnon, the statues of Amenhotep III (1391–1353 BC). Afterward, you will be transferred back to your hotel or Nile Cruise port in Luxor.
  • Valley of the Queens - Finally, drive to the Valley of the Queens, the burial site for royal family members, including about 90 tombs of queens, princes, and high officials of the New Kingdom (1550-1070 BC).
