- Khor Virap - The Khor Virap monastery is located about an hour’s drive away from the capital Yerevan, and offers an amazing view of Armenia’s defining symbol – the majestic Ararat. “Khor Virap” translates as “deep dungeon”, and was built of the place of the former royal prison, located on the historical site of Artashat. It was this very prison in which they kept Gregory the Illuminator, the first Armenian Catholicos, for a whole 13 years. Therefore, it comes as no surprise that this place is one of the most sacred spots for Armenians around the world. Likewise, it’s also the closest point to the Mount Ararat from Armenia; very often this spot becomes the number 1 reason to visit our country!

Any visit to Armenia is incomplete without a stop at the Tatev Monastery - once the epicenter of Armenian spirituality and education. Located on a towering flatland within the Vorotan river canyon and encircled by spectacular mountains and lush woodlands, the monastery can be accessed via the Wings of Tatev, the world’s lengthiest cableway.

if you are looking for a tours in yerevan definitely put Yerani travel as your first choice. - it was an amazing day a very well organized
actually we had so much fun watching those beautiful places
special thanks to our tour guide hasnmika (if i’m not mistaken with the pronunciation 😂) she is so helpful and i have never had a better knowledgeable tour guide ever in my trips like her specially in a old city like yerevan.
overall a 10 stars for this tour ♥️🙏🏻

Excellent experience! - We did a full day private tour to Khor Virap , Noravank , Tatev Cable car and the winery . Our driver Morat and our guide Anna arrived on time and took us to a journey which turned out to be really memorable and enjoyable! Anna was one of the most informative guides that we have come across with excellent command on English . What was good was that she enjoyed her job and made sure that tourists got the best picture of Armenia ! Infact the information she gave us also helped us the next day while on our tour to Gharni . We had an excellent lunch with free Vodka courtesy our hosts ! All in all would highly recommend Yerani travels and Anna ( she is simply superb !!!)

A couple of issues but overall good experience - We had a 3 day personalised tour with Yerani Travel. Communication before the tour was always very timely and professional. There were a couple of issues (e.g. driver arriving one hour late on the first day), but Yerani always dealt with them professionally and they always tried to meet our requests. Drivers did not speak English (not even some basic words) but they were very helpful and we felt safe with them on the road.
