As a marine biologist, my life is often intertwined with the wonders of water, but my recent visit to Meryal Waterpark in Lusail, Qatar, was an adventure of a different kind. The park, known as the largest waterpark in Qatar, promised a day filled with excitement and relaxation, and it certainly delivered.

Upon entering the park, I was immediately drawn to the RIG 1938, the world’s tallest tower and one of the park’s most thrilling attractions. The anticipation built as I climbed to the top, and the view from above was nothing short of breathtaking. The slide itself was a whirlwind of adrenaline, a perfect blend of speed and exhilaration that left me eager for more.

The park’s layout is a marvel in itself, with 53 slides and 9 other attractions spread across 6 acres. Each corner of the park offered something new to explore, from twisting slides to gentle wave pools. It was a playground for the adventurous spirit, and I found myself lost in the joy of discovery.

Serenity by the Sea

After a morning of heart-pounding rides, I decided to take a break and head to the beachfront. The sandy shores of Meryal Waterpark provided a serene escape from the bustling attractions. The beachfront was an ideal place to unwind, offering a chance to recharge before diving back into the action. The food outlets along the beachfront were inviting, offering a variety of delicious options to satisfy any craving. I indulged in a refreshing smoothie, a perfect complement to the warm sun and cool breeze.
