- Start the day with a hotel pick-up. Visit the Golden Buddha Temple (Wat Trimit), home to the world’s largest gold Buddha statue, over 700 years old, and a significant treasure of Thailand and Buddhism.
- Wat Phra Chetuphon - Continue to Wat Pho, also known as Wat Phra Chetuphon, renowned for its enormous ‘Reclining Buddha’. This gold-plated statue is 46 meters long and 15 meters high, representing Buddha’s transition into Nirvana. It is a truly magnificent sight, with the Buddha’s eyes and feet adorned with mother-of-pearl, and the feet featuring carvings of the ‘108’ characteristics of Buddha.
- Wat Benchamabophit (The Marble Temple) - Visit the Marble Temple, Wat Benchamabophit, once considered the most modern example of Thai religious architecture. This temple is famous for its main chapel constructed from white Italian marble.
- The Grand Palace - Proceed to The Grand Palace (Wat Phra Kaew), one of Thailand’s most visited tourist sites. To the north of the royal residence, connected by a gateway, is the royal monastery of the Emerald Buddha.
- Temple of the Emerald Buddha (Wat Phra Kaew) - The Emerald Buddha is a figure carved from green jade, first discovered in 1437 in a stupa in Chiang Rai. Initially, it was covered in plaster and mistaken for a regular Buddha statue.
