• La Martiniere College - Guests will be collected from their hotel at 10:00 AM within the Lucknow city center. This guided city tour is conducted on a shared basis in an air-conditioned vehicle. Lucknow is renowned for its rich history, vibrant culture, and delectable cuisine. The city boasts British Raj era architecture and two notable mausoleums. As the capital of Uttar Pradesh, it is sometimes overlooked by travelers, yet it offers numerous attractions and is celebrated across India for its culinary delights. Central Lucknow features wide boulevards, impressive monuments, parks, and gardens.

Explore the esteemed boarding school, La Martiniere, originally constructed by Frenchman Claude Martin as his grand residence. Its facade combines Roman archways, Gothic elements reminiscent of a horror movie, a Disneyland castle, and features turrets and gargoyles atop a series of Corinthian columns.

• Rumi Darwaza - The tour also includes a visit to the Lucknow Residency, the site of significant events during the First War of Independence (Indian Uprising) in 1857. The Siege of Lucknow lasted 147 days and resulted in the loss of 2,197 defenders.

Discover the tombs of Nawab Sadat Ali Khan and his wife, showcasing Indo-Syrian architectural style. A prominent landmark in Lucknow is the Asafi Imambara, constructed in 1775 by Nawab Asaf-ud-Daula. During a famine, the Nawab initiated the construction of this Imambara Complex to provide employment, as the people refused to accept charity. The complex includes a hall, a mosque, gardens, and a stepwell. Additionally, there is a labyrinth to the left of the central hall, leading to a network of narrow passageways that wind through the upper floors and open onto rooftop balconies.

The Rumi Darwaza is believed to be modeled after an entrance gate in Istanbul.

• Husainabad Clock Tower - There will be a photo opportunity at the 220-foot tall red brick Clock Tower, reputed to be the tallest in India, built in 1880 in honor of Sir George Couper.

At the end of the tour, guests will be transported back to their hotel in Lucknow.
