Wonderful way to experience Lucca - We couldn’t have asked for a better experience than with Marika and Mario (the horse)! Marika was so knowledgeable and great with our two young daughters - Mario is a local celebrity and made stops for snacks at local bars and restaurants as he gently walked us through the entire walled city and on a beautiful ride atop the city walls. It is a perspective of the city you can’t get any other way and should not be missed!

A wonderful gentle & genteel tour of Lovely Lucca - Wonderful! This is the best way to easily get to know Lucca by open horse carriage. Marika deftly informed us of historical facts whilst guiding her sweet horse, Luigi at a slow pace all around the city & walls. Plenty of time for questions & photos. There is just no better way to tour Lucca! We are ladies of a certain age & could happily have done it every single day & saved out feet from cobblestones. LOL Seriously, DO NOT MISS this gentle & fun way to tour around Lucca. It is perfection. Delightful & well worth the cost! Molto Grazie, Marika (& Luigi!). We shall return!

Wonderful way to learn about and see Lucca - Amazing! We learned so much about the city of Lucca and it was a wonderful, relaxing way to cover a lot of ground. The horses are well taken care of. I think this may be the only operator in Lucca.

One of the best experiences we’ve had in Italy - This was a huge hit with the whole family. We enjoyed getting an overview of the old city and a little history of the area. It is a beautiful town and this was a magnificent way to see it. Our lovely driver was able to answer some general questions about what we were seeing (for example, what are the iron pieces set into the walls of the buildings?) The horse is obviously pampered and seems popular around town— he stopped twice to get treats from shop keepers.

Don't miss this tour! - My sister recommended this at the last minute, so we booked it and are delighted that we did! The history was incredibly interesting and we learned a lot about the culture of the people. We were able to take in so much more of this beautiful little city and enjoyed the romance of a carriage ride. It was like we were back in time. Marika was very friendly, knowledgeable, helped us with some Italian pronunciations and took our pictures. Her and Luigi were the best tour guides and I highly recommend!
