Well organised and informative - Our guide was really friendly and informative. It was so interesting to see the market in the morning, as well as the Hmong villages. Kung Si falls are absolutely stunning and we were given as much time as we needed to explore, swim and climb to the top. There are certainly cheaper ways to do this but we really valued having a comfortable minivan and as much time as we wanted in each place.

Great introduction to Luang Prabang - The tour covered pretty much everything I wanted to see in Luang Prabang on my short weekend. It forced me to wake up for Alms giving (which was worth it!) I was able to see and learn about all the delights in the market, had a short visit to see local village minorities and how they live, and rounded up the day with the breathtaking Kuang Si waterfalls which shouldn't be missed! The bus was very comfortable and clean, and I was offered cold water when I needed it. My tour guide was extremely knowledgeable and interesting. He explained much of the history of Laos and answered every questions I asked. He was also very patient and kind. Mr. Bhuntan (? Sorry for my terrible memory) really knows about everything and kept me interested the whole time. If there is any downside, the minority villages were a bit tourist-orientated, with children trying to sell things. I had to book a different tour the next day to see the real Hmong and Khmu lifestyle. Nonetheless, this was an amazing tour and very well organised. I would recommend it to anyone. Thank you!

Incredible Tour! - "La" our tourguide was incredibly knowledgable, patient, and enthusiastic. It exceeded our expectations and ended up being one of my favorite spots in Asia. The waterfall is even more beautiful than the pictures. Would hands down plan another trip here with the same tourguide/company.

superb day - This was a wonderful day trip with good transport and an excellent guide. The waterfall was impressive and fell over several levels. The lunch was set on a secluded table alongside one of the ponds of the fall. Two ladies were discretely sitting on a log a few yards away from the table. It seemed as if from nowhere, they produced dish after dish of what we can only describe as the best meal that we had in the whole of Indonesia. How they managed to achieve this is a wonder! Not only that, we are both vegetarian and this proved to be no problem to the caterers. The only downside were the public toilets which could only be described as somewhat basic. The guide also managed to fit in several visits of interest along the way. Well worth the time.

A phenomenal day - Personable, helpful, patient guide. Paced to fit my needs and respectful of my ability. Fabulous, authentic day at a local village, tasty, well prepared lunch...not for the faint of heart...it was a hot, long trek but I'm 76 and with a few extra rest stops got to do everything on our itinerary! Great value, affordable price.

Beautiful Scenery - We absolutely liked our trip to the Kuang Si waterfalls. Even in the low rainy season the falls are active, the water us pristine and the water level at the pool is great to take a cooling swim in nature. While still very crowded with tourists, the facilities are clean and well organized. There is even a picnic area next to the top for a quiet meal of local delicacies available at very moderate prices. There is also a village on the way to the falls to buy inexpensive local craft from energetic children learning the tricks of the trade. Very nice one-day tour to complement to temple tours in downtown Luang Prabang. Highly recommended.

Beautiful waterfall, a must see but the tour is not great value for money and not as described. - The description of the tour is misleading. For a start then there is not an option to experience the traditional alms-giving ceremony as it happens well before the tour starts. Secondly then we finished going to the small morning marked, the villages and the waterfall at 11.30 (and then not much left to do other than the lunch). Should be sold as a half day tour and priced as such. However the waterfall is stunning and should not be missed and both driver and guide great. Also good communication with the tour company. Just tour not as described and I feel not great value for money.

It wasn't bad, just ok - The morning market visit was alright and the guide, while very friendly and nice, just took us around the market and pointed out things like "that's dill, that's local orange, that's organic produce, those are barbecue rats". The trip to the Hmong village was also average, but pretty much a setup of bags, purses and things you can buy from the local village with little kids in makeup selling them. I don't think the villagers actually live there. We skipped the 2nd village because it was going to be a whiskey distillery of sorts. The kuang si waterfalls are beautiful, but to be honest you could just go without a guide because it's pretty straightforward and well sign-posted. The bear reserve is also located within the falls. Lunch in a local restaurant outside the falls was pretty good; we ordered dishes to our liking, and drinks are separately charged. It was a decent experience, just not sure if it was worth USD170 for 2 people for a private tour. If i were to do it again I'd hire just a private driver, go to the morning market if it's of interest to you and straight to the waterfalls.

Private and privatised are two different things - Although I insisted from the beginning on a personalised customised tour, the operator seemed only concerned in delivering his standard tour but for a single customer. The “described” four was finished by 10:15AM. Operator insisted that he delivered the tour “as sold” (don’t think though that a full day ends at 10:15…) Fortunately the guide was flexible and took the initiative to extend to 2 nearby places to fill the gap. Still a long way to go to understand the difference between private and privatised Got robbed of 200USD. Had I known would have joined a tour group.
