Excellent fun!! Loved every minute! - We went as a group, there were 7 of us. We all had an excellent time. The experience was exhilarating, amazing, scary, fun and exciting. The scenery was like paradise. The guide Eric and team were simply the best and made the trip exceptionally good. They had a good sense of humour, they were patient, encouraging, and fundamentally we felt 100% safe with them. Would highly recommend and hope you get Eric and team.

Exhilerating experience! - The guides, Andreas and Brian, were very funny, personable, and encouraging. The hike through the canyon was so much fun, the rappelling was fabulous, and the free jump into the 'pool' was exhilerating. You must be fairly agile to climb down the wet canyon walls but do go. I am 66 and my daughter is 25 and we both highly recommend this adventure with this company. Pura vida! - Kathy & Jennifer

Fantastic activity for all ages - highly recommend - We absolutely loved this experience! We did four waterfalls, and a couple of other fun water adventures (I won’t spoil it), and loved every minute. The guides were great and we felt safe the whole time. We bought the photos with cash upfront, and over 150 of them received the next morning via email. We did the 10am tour and did not get a chance to eat until 1.30pm… prepare for this as we were all absolutely starving. The way out involves some steep steps so a basic level of fitness is required. Highly recommend!!

Lost Canyon Canyoning Adventure - Beautiful location with a wonderful canyoning adventure. Equipment was first rate and the staff very helpful. The lunch buffet following was also excellent. I would recommend this adventure.

Amazing! Do it! - Arturo was a proper legend! Loved the experience. We were very lucky as it was just two of us on the tour! He was really funny and kept us constantly informed about the nature and Costa Rican history! The Canyoning was really fun. Especially the very last waterfall 😅!!! Really recommend this!

Great First Experience - I did this trip alone on 11-7-23 with just my guides Roberto and Arturo which made it as if it was a private tour. Thourough safety briefing and I never felt uncomfortable or nervous about any of the descending heights. Roberto gave a demonstration before each challenge along the way. This excursion is NOT for anyone who is afraid of heights or drenching water on them. I would DEFINITELY do this excursion again or the recommended Gravity Falls on my next visit to CR. The price ($40) for the photos and videos are well worth it especially if you are a group or family. I used my cell phone (bring at your own risk) to take a couple of pics and vids of my adventures. The included meal was satisfying as well. I recommended to my guides there should be a safety gate or rope at all of the launching platforms and not just some. I hope that suggestion has been implemented. Great job Desafio.

So Thrilling - HIGHLIGHT OF OUR TRIP!! this activity has it all. A nice keep ride, crazy repelling and zip lining combos, fun guides who are laughing the whole time with you, places where you jump into the water. It was exhilarating. So much bang for the buck

Excellent experience - The team took extremely good care of us. I had so much fun for the whole experience and I am not a big fan of heights. The drive there, the kit, the photos - everything was brilliant.

If You Only Do One Excursion In La Fortuna, This THE ONE!! - I don't even know where to start to this review on our amazing experience with this group - so if you like the short version, here it is: don't hesitate to book this as everyone in our group had an amazing time and made unreal memories. If you only do one thing in CR, this is it! Now, If you like more details, then read on: I booked this for our family - me in my mid 50's and our 2 children in their mid 20's (dad couldn't go because of his bad back) because I wanted to make memories together on this trip. So let me also say our son is pretty adventurous and our daughter and I have a fear of heights but after reading the other rave reviews, we decided to get out of comfort zone and go for it - and believe me when I say we have NO REGRETS (except Dad couldn't be there). We went on the afternoon tour, and it ended up being just the 3 of us and another great guy from Italy - so it was basically a private tour. A big shout out to Ronald, Ronnie and Diego who literally held our hands (well at least mine on several occasions!) as we all had the experiences of a lifetime. Between the amount of equipment, the ever watchful eyes of our guides and their constant encouragement, we did things we never dreamed of doing - and rappelling down 200' of waterfalls was just one part of this exhilarating experience! I won't give away too much because some things should be left as a fun surprise but the gorgeous scenery we got to see was just another incredible aspect of this experience. I am in average (at best) shape and these guys always made me feel like I could do anything. I will say that because of the small group size, they were really able to give us the personal attention that made this trip what it was - and the ultimate feeling of comfort for me. If you have any concerns at all and the budget to do so, I would recommend booking a private tour so you can get the most out of the experience while feeling comfortable in some of the experiences. There are some slippery and challenging areas as you move from one waterfall to the next, so good shoes are a must and again, the literal hand-holding at times was much appreciated (and needed!). The only tough thing about this was the long steep steps at the very end to get back up to where you start but again, I am not in great shape so took my time and was not made to feel badly or rushed in getting back to the top. While in the La Fortuna area, we did the ziplining, hanging bridges, volcano hikes, La Fortuna waterfall and more - but by far, this was the activity we are all still talking about. The picture package at the end was great to have and buy as you really don't want anything with you on this excursion - and they do a great job capturing the experiences and you can be fully focused on each event during the excursion! Thank you again to Desafio team for the excursion of a lifetime and making the memories we only dreamed of for this trip. IF YOU ONLY DO ONE TRIP WHILE IN THE LA FORTUNA/ARENAL AREA, THIS IS THE ONE!! Now, we will just have to come back when my husband can join us! Pura Vida!!

Unprofessional - This activity was promoted though G adventures and Desafio adventure company. I went with a fellow traveler in the G adventure group. The activity itself was good. The one star is due the staff losing the photos they took of us and that we paid extra for. Yes, we did get our money for the photos refunded but the explanation we received as to how they got lost was vague and unconvincing regarding efforts to recover them. The refund doesn’t really address the disappointment of not receiving the photos. The handling of this was very unprofessional. Heads up for prospective guests.
