Super business who takes care of the customer! We had a great time. - Super business who takes care of the customer! We had a great time. Be careful and you will too! Get the sporty bike. Both are good, but if you are going up hill the power is really nice. Pay attention to what you are told and it will be a great time.

A great way to explore the gorgeous area! - We aren't experienced cyclistsbut had an amazing time. I really recommend going in the cooler months because there are very few people going to the wineries so you can easily get reservations, very few cars are on the road, and you won't be dying of the heat. Just know winter is not the right season to see the lavender blooming, but the Claremont Lavender Farm is still operational and very pretty. Chad who runs to bike shop is super knowledgeable, walked us through using the bikes and also walked us through multiple routes, outlining things to do and wineries that are good through the countryside. The electric assist on the bikes makes it easy to start up and get up hills. The routes are mostly paved and very well maintained, even after it rains (we did not do the canyon route). The bikes are well maintained and Chad makes sure they're right for your stature. I hadn't actually ridden a bike in 10 years but it was SUCH a fun experience, it makes me want to buy an electric bike. Take Chad's advice and buy a sandwich at Panino Los Olivos- their sandwiches are GODLY- and have a picnic lunch at any of the places he outlines along the route because the properties are just so beautiful. We had our picnic at the Beckmen Winery which Chad recommended and it was STUNNING. Their wine tasting is great and their little winery cat named Pie enjoyed hanging out with us too (we love you Pie). We spent about 3.5 hours on the bikes and ended the day with some homemade ice cream at the coffee shop down the hill form the bike shop. I can't wait to take my friends here next year!

Cycle the countryside - Sam, the store owner, had a big map on the wall with suggested routes. It was great to get his advice on where to go routes to take. We took an easy flat road for the first half of the time. After lunch we went on a hilly route we never could have enjoyed without an e assist bike. Beautiful total immersion in the countryside. Like no place close by.

Had a great time biking... - Had a great time biking around wine country in Los Olivos. Samuel at Pedego Bikes was outstanding, calling me back right away when I had questions, making sure I had the correct size bike, explaining carefully how ebikes worked (our first time using one) and giving us detailed directions for routes. Altogether an experience I’d highly recommend.

Great place to rent a bike and a great place to ride. - If you enjoy bicycling, this is the activity for you! We completed a 25-mile circuit that we thoroughly enjoyed on electric bikes that made it enjoyable, even with a lot of uphill cycling. We are in our late 60s and in pretty good shape, but the electric assist makes it easy if you don’t want to huff and puff up the hills. Sam at the bike shop was friendly and provided a wealth of information on our route and how to properly operate the electric bikes (this was only our second time renting e-bikes). The e-bikes were very hefty with large tires, so the ride was very smooth over some pretty rough roads in places. The e-bikes are also provided with paneers for carrying a pretty good amount of gear, so pack a lunch for a mid-day ride. Our only negative, and our warning is to call to reserve your bikes the day before you want to ride. We originally wanted to ride on a Wednesday, and the website said that they opened at 10 a.m. However, when we showed-up, the shop was closed and when we telephoned, the owner said that we should have reserved the day before. Luckily, we were in the area long enough so that we could rent bikes and ride on a Thursday. The owner was nice enough to give us a small discount and to recommend a nearby winery for a complimentary tasting, which we took advantage of. So, we feel that we got a great deal for our delay of riding on the day that we didn’t plan on. Plan ahead and either call ahead or reserve your bikes on-line!
