Discover what outdoor rock climbing is all about in this 4-hour clinic designed for the beginning rock climber. No climbing experience is necessary. In our Climbing 1 class, getting you up your first rock climbs is the goal. Additionally, we’ll share the sense of adventure that drives our guides’ passion for the sport, and provide you with the most enjoyable first day of climbing possible. We’ll begin with an introduction to climbing gear, climbing commands, and climber tie-in knots. Then we’ll spend the remainder of our time climbing!

Explore the essence of outdoor rock climbing in our 4-hour instructional session tailored for new climbers. Prior climbing experience is not a requirement. In our initial level class, we focus on helping you accomplish your first few climbs. Moreover, we aim to impart the spirit of adventure which fuels our guides’ enthusiasm for climbing and ensure your first day of climbing is as enjoyable as possible. We’ll kick off with a brief overview of climbing equipment and safety measures, which encompasses learning basic commands and how to tie-in climber knots. The rest of our time will be dedicated to climbing!
- Children must be accompanied by an adult
- 13 and up ok to attend alone - ages 9-12 must attend with adult (under 9 may not attend)
