Because every year Humpback Whales travel to these warmer waters during the months of December thru April for breeding, giving birth and nurturing their young. Humpback Whales are known for their breaching, distinct surface habits and unique songs which makes them a favorite for ecoventurers all over the world.
Alongside of our professionally certified local trained guides take a speed boat ride and learn about these fascinating creatures as they majestically launch themselves out of the water creating tremendous splashes and fantastic photo opportunities. You will also be able to hear them sing their unique songs with our state-of-the-art hydrophone.
Onboard our 28-foot Apex speed boat, set off on the adventure of a lifetime! Our boat is specifically designed for marine mammal viewing, riding on top of the water instead of pounding through it. Making for a more peaceful and safe interaction with the animals.

The meeting point is located along side the Marina in the API building. The office is number B-20 and has a brown sign above the window. If you locate the circle of surf boards at the corner and walk in the direction of the bay, the building is tan and located on your right hand side.

Best tour around - Had an amazing tour. Our guide was a whale encyclopedia and a lot of fun. We saw 2 sets of of humpback whales. The calves were so cute🐳 I would go again. The pictures they took were magnificent 😲

Warm experience and fun time! - Mario was a fantastic guide for our time on the water. He had great historical information of the area. I was impressed with his knowledge of the local birds and sea life. Although it’s later in the season, he put us on whales fairly quickly. His enthusiasm was contagious. I was surprised when he communicated with other boats nearby to let them where the whales were headed and when they were breaching! All in all, it was a great experience and full of value!

Just what we were looking for - Had a great tour with Dee, who provided great information about the whales we saw that day, and even some other animals (marlins, a ray, brown pelicans) as they appeared during our tour. The boat was comfortable, and able to get relatively close to the whales. I appreciated the professional photos were included, and we received them shortly afterwards.

Awesome Tour! - This was the 2nd time in 2 weeks that we took this tour. We absolutely loved the staff Dee and Alex the captain! They were very kind, knowledgeable about the animals and were able to answer any questions asked.
It appeared to us how careful they were not to get too close to the animals as to not scare them, but certainly got us up close and personal with them when possible.
We were offered water, juices and a few packaged snacks and free photographs which made the tour that much more relaxing and fun! We were able to relax and enjoy watching the whales and not have to worry about catching the next breach.
Thank you to all the staff working at Baja Vikings EcoAdventures for making this such an enjoyable tour!

Whale watching up close - My husband and I had the best experience ever!! The guide, DeAnn Kizzar was awesome! Captain Alex did great too! Got us up close and personal. Professional photos are also sent via email, in case you missed the perfect shot!

Amazing experience - One of the most amazing water adventures we have ever been part of. The staff/crew had a commanding knowledge of their local whale populations, and they were the most kind, considerate, and professional crews we have ever encountered. We look forward to the opportunity to return, and we will use their cruises again, without any hesitation, as they were amazing people and very wise on their subjects

Great Cabo adventure - This was the best whale watching trip ever. We saw so many whales, and got great pictures. Our guide was very knowledgeable about Whales and very very friendly and accommodating to everyone on the boat I would highly recommend taking this trip we went during the middle of the day. The captain was great too. We went all over the place, and every time we saw whales he tried to get us as close as possible. The guide also took great pictures and sent them to us which was Nice.

Awesome Whale watching experience - We went on the Whale watching tour with guide Deann and Capt Alex. It was an amazing experience. Deann was very knowledgeable, professional and friendly. She made our tour well worth while. Capt Alex was very experienced and made sure we got close enough to see the whales, but not too close to make them feel threatened. We had the feeling they cared for these creatures and werent just out trying to make money. This tour came with snacks, juice/water and complimentary photos. You can truly sit back and enjoy and not have to worry about capturing photos of the whales. We even got information about the area, landmarks and got photos near the famous arch. I totally recommend this company.

Can't recommend enough! - I can't recommend Baja Viking enough! Our guide and captain were amazing and we saw SO many whales - up close! The boat was comfortable and small, which is just right for being closer to the water than a bigger tour boat. I get seasick and I had no issues on this boat!
