Unique hike into heart of Baja was awesome for us seniors!! - AMAZING AND UNIQUE!! My friend and I are active women in our 70s and we loved this hike!!! Danny picked us up in his beautiful van. To reach the start , we went through a locked gate just outside the village of Miraflores and then we bumped along a winding dirt road across a dry river bed and bounced further on up into the lower elevations of the mountains. The peak of Sierra de La Laguna at 2,090 metres (6,857 ft) in elevation, is the highest point in the range of the Baja California Sur state. But we were nowhere near that elevation. My friend and I challenged ourselves on this hike. The so-called trail wasn’t marked as it cross-crossed the riverbed and zigzagged over rocks, boulders and sand bars to our final destination: a sparkling oasis centered on a crystal clear pond some 90 minutes later. We had the option to swim but that day was a little too cool. Returning at sunset, the last 45 minutes of our trek was managed with the help of headlamps. It was pretty tricky but actually not difficult climbing over boulders and river rocks in the dark! There was a brilliant starlit sky which we stopped to observe so we could point out Jupiter, a satellite and count the constellations. It was stunning. We finished the 2 1/2 hour hike at a quaint family-owned Ranchero where we enjoyed a very traditional meal. Freshly made tortillas baked over an open wood flame, frijoles, spicy salsa, ranch beef, plump cherry tomatoes grown on the ranchero and sweet, hot damiana tea hit the spot! The entire tour took seven amazing hours. An excellent adventure! Highly recommend it.

Ditch the tourist spots, get off the beaten path and check out this adventure - Small groups are the best! Danny and his partner arrived to pick me up in a really nice new van. We took the drive to the hike site stopping first at a road side mom/pop ice cream stand. On the hike Danny took the time to explain different Flora, and Fana, as well as different rock formations after a brief swim, we headed back to the van. In a short drive, we ended up at a private home and had homemade tacos. Some of the best I’ve had. If you’re looking for an off the beaten path adventure, this is the one you should pick. Back in one piece with all my parts 😃

Not to be missed!! - This adventure away from the tourist center was most definitely the highlight of our trip to Los Cabos. My husband and I were thrilled to experience the natural beauty of Sierra de La Laguna. Danny was the perfect guide, taking us off the beaten path. We barely saw another soul on the hike, even at the pristine swimming hole he took us to. The river water was cool and comfortable for a leisurely swim. My husband braved the fun jump from the rocks above. Danny is warm and personable and knows the area very well, explaining the history, terrain and plant life along the way. The delicious meal at a rancho gave us a much appreciated glimpse into local life. We had the best homemade mango sorbet at a small family shop on the way back. We will definitely sign up for another hike with Danny if we return to Los Cabos!

INTERACTIVE ADVENTURE! Do it 😃 - Danny and Jordan were our guides for what ended up being a private tour! Personable and easy going these guys made our tour most enjoyable. We stopped for homemade ice cream on the way to our destination. I would classify this hike as an INTERACTIVE ADVENTURE. Close toed shoes recommended but I managed in sandles that secured to my feet, but slips on would have not worked. Jordan lead the hike through the San Bernardo river bed while educating us on local plants and geology. He also gave some key survival tips! We reached our destination about 1.5 miles upriver and swam in multi tier pools of crystal clear waters with a natural waterslide. It was a highlight of our whole trip. On the return hike it gently rained and flashed lightning, which just added to the adventure when we hiked the last 30 minutes with headlamps in the dark. We'd worked up quite an apatite and ate a home cooked meal at a local ranch. Fresh warm tortillas right off the fire filled with refried beans, beef and salsa with a kick! Highly recommended this tour!

Interactive Adventure - We had a great time on this highly interactive experience. We felt safe the whole time; Danny and Jordan were excellent guides with extensive knowledge and a clear love for the area. First we stopped for some delicious mexican sorbet with other local foods and honey for sale. Next we drove up to the mountains and down a dirt road for a bit to the hike location. The hike wasn't easy but not too tough for us and there were more plants and trees than I expected in the desert. Part of the hike back was in the dark and we saw lightning in the distance, it was amazing. After the hike we stopped at a small family ranch for an authentic mexican meal, it was tasty. Overall this was a great tour and I would highly recommend to anyone who likes nature and wants an authentic interactive experience. We will be looking up Dharma tours next time we go to cabo

Hiking, viewing night sky, eating, laughing and learning about local ecology and culture. - What an incredible hike with stunning views of the valley and then the night sky on our way back. Learned about local ecology and customs. Danny and Jordan were knowledgeable, supportive and hilarious guides. We stayed at an all inclusive hotel and this off site adventure was the highlight of our stay. Highly recommend this experience for families and friends.

Nature Lovers Dream! - This was a wonderful afternoon/evening excursion. I was picked up at my hotel right on time and we set off out of town headed North with Danny and Jordan who are both very personable and intent on providing a very fun, beautiful, and off the typical tourist track experience. We had one stop on the way to the hike to sample the exotic, flavorful creations of a local sorbet maker. My favorite was Lavender! Along the journey Danny pointed out the type of vegetation we were seeing as it changed with shifts in altitude. All my questions about plants and wildlife were answered. Danny has a master’s degree in sustainable tourism and works with locals to find ways for them to benefit from the tourist industry without sacrificing their local life style and traditions. The hike included some stone stepping and a bit of scrambling over absolutely beautiful boulders, some great swimming time and more plant and tree discussions. Danny made sure to capture many photos of us having fun as well as some beautiful sunset photos! I can’t say enough about how wonderful it was to lie on a warm boulder in the pitch dark and see the explosion of stars while Danny and Jordan pointed out planets and constellations! At evening end we were served a traditional meal at the home of a nearby family and had a chance to try to learn how to make a proper tortilla which proved to be quite humorous for this gringa!
