Additional Information

Between late November and mid-April, we provide 2.5-hour bespoke whale watching and marine wildlife trips in Cabo San Lucas. A fantastic choice for a family or group outing. Our tours are informative and respectful towards wildlife, supervised by a bilingual Marine Biologist who doubles as a photographer. Photos from your tour are offered at no extra cost.

As we leave the bay, you’ll spot landmarks like Pelican Rock, Lovers Beach, and the iconic Arch. Following this, your guide and captain will start looking for whales. The species most frequently seen on our tours include Humpback Whales, Common Dolphins, Bottlenose Dolphins, Olive Ridley Sea Turtles, and Mobula Rays. We may also encounter certain other species such as Gray Whales, Sperm Whales, Blue Whales, and Killer Whales. If conditions are suitable, your guide will employ a hydrophone for you to listen to the humpback whales’ song.

From December 15th to April 15th, we provide a Whale Sighting Guarantee. Should you not spot any whales, you can join us again at no extra cost, providing there is availability.

  • We provide lifejackets for guests between 20lbs - 300lbs

Private, small boats - Nice to have a dedicated small boat. Our group of 7 had tons of room, and the onboard photographer provided photos of the whales right away.

Fantastic whale watching tour! - The best whale watching tour in Los Cabos! We had a private tour for four people in 2023 and loved it so much that when I was planning my wedding in February 2024 I knew exactly what I wanted to do: another private tour with a small group of family and friends. Our guide and captain were happy to help with the surprise of a quick vow exchange in front of the arch. We then went on to have the best tour and saw so many whales. Best day ever, and I can’t thank the staff at Whale Watch Cabo enough.

Best Time! - Our guide, Sarah (Sarita) was exceptionally knowledgeable, friendly, engaging, and so fun to learn from! There were many many questions asked by our group, and she was able to answer all of them without hesitation! We were able to see a lot of whales in different areas, and it was overall such a fun day! Our captain was really great about getting on his walkie talkie with other boats to find out where the whales were and then we’d go zooming in to spot them! We had a group ranging from 33 years old to 70 years old and everyone had the best day! THANK YOU SARITA AND PERRITO!

Breaching whales - Awesome experience with Oscar (guide) and Hector (captain). After a slow start, we finished strong with sightings of several small groups of whales, including amazing full breaches! Oscar shared lots of knowledge about whale biology, which was appreciated by all. Hector was a first-rate boatman, keeping the ride smooth throughout.

Fabulous whale watching experience - Captain Hector and marine biologist Rui were fantastic. 3 whales were curious and literally played with the boat for 30 minutes. Got great photos, videos and underwater videos taken by the crew. Highly recommend!

A spectacular experience! - Wow! Wow! Wow! This was a fantastic Whale watching experience. Our guide was Rui along with Captain Hugo. They impressed me from the start because of their professionalism and their concern for the whales. This is not a sightseeing cruise. They don't allow alcohol and no music. They are marine biologists, so they give you information as well as the experience to get up close and personal. Not only did we see these magnificent creatures in action with lots of tails, but we were also able to actually watch the whale approach the surface and see it from head to tail! It was our last moment of the day and absolutely the grand finale. A small disclaimer here... the boat is not meant for the faint of heart. If you have heart or back problems, the boat is small, and you ride fast and furious to get to the whales once they are spotted. But even the boat ride was fun for our group!
