The tour meets in downtown Cabo San Lucas outside the entrance of Hard Rock CAFE next to Squid Roe nightclub, not to be confused with Hard Rock Resort. You can also use Google maps Avocabo Food Tours. Everyone comes hungry so we leave right on time. Guides arrive 5 minutes prior with cold waters.

Delicious tacos, amazing tour guide! - We were the only people on the early tour, so it was a private and personal experience. Robin was very engaging and delightful tour guide. We had five stops on the tour, each one was delicious and Robin had the back story on each place, it was fascinating to get her take on each one. If you want a food tour this is THE one. Thank you so much, Robin!

Taco Tour - We took the AvoCabo Food Tour - Taco Tour this past week. We've been coming to Cabo for close to 40 years and we haven't historically taken a lot of tours but this was absolutely wonderful. It was a excellent look at not only a variety of unique tacos (eating like the locals) but a look at the beautiful people the locals from Cabo are. Don't miss this, you will not be disappointed. Tell Robin Greg and Debbie sent you...her background story and real life experiences made the tour that much better.

Yum! Yum! Yum! - The different types of tacos were thoroughly explored - guisadoes (try the cactus), birria (don’t forget to dip), pastor, carnitas, and mole. And to end it all - churros! Robin is the perfect guide and very knowledgeable about the food and the total Cabo experience.

Yummy tacos! - My family of 4 had a wonderful taco excursion with Robin. She was so friendly, informative and loved her positive energy. She took us around a part of Cabo with some of the best tacos around. We tried birria, carnitas, squash blossoms, mole and shrimp tacos. We also sampled some ice cream and churros. Overall it was a great tour and highly recommend it. Great for kids too!

Some of the best tacos ever! - Everything about this trip was amazing, but mother nature kind of did her thing. The food we tasted were some of the best tacos that I have ever eaten. Our guide Robin was super nice and informative. She explained everything to us, the origins, the culture and made sure to stop at the best places to eat in Cabo. I can't wait to go back and do this again. Next time I'll do both the day/night to take full advantage of everything that I can.

Loved experiencing local Cabo and the food - We loved seeing the “local“ part of Cabo, tasting wonderful, homemade foods from family restaurants, and learning a bit more about the locale. Our particular lunch tour seemed a bit rushed, which was too bad since we had so much incredible food to digest. Even so, I recommend this tour.

Host was unpleasant - The overall experience could have been made much better if the host was anyone but Robin. I'm assuming she had a bad day because there were a few instances in which Robin was condescending and rude. For instance, when we sat down for our first meal, I placed a few dabs of salsa on my plate and stated the sauces were spicy. Robin mentioned "it's just like a white person to sit down at a table and complain about the salsa." Robin went on to tell the table that is not normal for Mexican culture to eat chips and salsa and that this is mainly an american tradition. During one of our last meals, Robin approached me as I was exiting the restroom and asked which tacos I would like to order. I mentioned I was unsure and she stated she went over the options already and that I should have been listening outdoors when she initially explained the options. It seemed as if I was causing an inconvenience by not remembering which options there were. Even after ordering, both my wife and I received improper orders.
We have done several tours in Cabo and this would be one I would skip strictly due to the rude behavior Robin exhibited. If your looking to replicate the tour, start by purchasing street tacos and tamales from the vendors along the streets of downtown Cabo and enjoy yourself without being spoken down to.
