Take in the breathtaking vistas of the desert while piloting your personal 4X4 Jeep. Experience unparalleled adventure and thrill in this fantastic excursion into the desert. Our journey traverses Santiago, a picturesque and vibrant small town, known to host one of the oldest missions in Cabo. We then pause at Fox Canyon to uncover a tropical desert oasis. Stroll along a river, discover water slides, and a waterfall where you can enjoy a rejuvenating dip. After such thrilling endeavors, hunger is quite inevitable. Therefore, we lunch at a local eatery and relish some traditional Mexican cuisine. The fun continues even during our journey back before we wrap up the tour.
- Minimum age is 6 years old
- Minimum age to drive is 18 years old
- If you wish to drive a Jeep, you must present a valid driver’s license
- Please bring a towel, tennis, sandals, sunscreen and sunglasses
- The price is per jeep, based on maximum 1 - 3 passengers. Five jeeps are available.
- The activity lasts 6.5 hours including roundtrip transportation.
- Since this is a private tour, you can decide whether or not to complete the full activity.
- Lunch is included. We’ll take you to a local restaurant, offering 100% Mexican dishes such as fish tacos, chicken, beef, salsa, guacamole, tortilla chips, and refreshing flavored water. We also have a vegetarian option with salads, quesadillas, beans, rice, etc. Lunch is included but optional, so there is no discount offered on the activity if you choose not to go for lunch.
- As we know the weather is a factor that can lead us to modify our day, sometimes we will have to change location, reschedule and / or cancel (the refund will be issued 100% in case of cancellation by us). You will be informed of the options and you will make the decision. Factors that could influence this are rain and road cuts.
- For a full refund, cancel at least 48 hours in advance of the start date of the experience. No show or last minute cancellation will be charged in full. This experience requires good weather. If it’s canceled due to poor weather, you’ll be offered a different date or a full refund.
- Depending on availability, we use either Jeeps or Ford Broncos.

A Trip Highlight! - This was one of the highlights of our week trip to Cabo! Sol took us on a fantastic drive and was a great guide. He took our pictures several times along the way and we were lucky to be some of the only ones at the waterfall while we were there. The hike down to the waterfall seemed a little daunting at first but ended up not being too long or challenging if you take it slow. We loved stopping at the Tropic of Cancer on the drive up, and were able to purchase a souvenir made by local artists at the visitor center. After the waterfall, lunch at the Ranch was delicious! Everything was taken care of for us and it was awesome.

Breath taking views, great laughs and a locals life long passion and experiences of Cabo. - We started the morning greeted at the hotel lobby with the smiling face of our guide for the day Luis. Cold water in hand, ac on, we set out for a day full of laughter, adventure and deep immersion into the beautiful lands of Cabo.
As we cruised in our brand new Jeep Wrangler, Luis pointed out spots to visit, stories of his time growing up there as well as fun facts and call out I would have totally missed along the way. First stop was at El Rancho where we visited a nature preserve and did a small hike to a beautiful waterfall nestled amongst the rocks. We could have stopped for a quick bite but we opted to hit the East Cape.
This is where the 4x4 off-roading fun truly began. We cruised the dirt and rock roads with the deep blues of the Pacific to the left of us and the warm vibrant sands and rocks to our right. Luis expertly navigated the tricky roads all while ensuring we had some great fun, hearty laughs and stops for breath taking views. We ended the day with a quick bite for some of the best food we have had all trip. We were sad as it came to end. We felt like we were saying goodbye to a good friend we had known for ever. In the short day we had with Luis, we not only got the amazing 4x4 experience we were expecting but we got the best service and experience we could have possibly ever wanted. We are definitely coming back! I strongly suggest you hire High Tide for your private 4x4 experience and make sure you ask for Luis. You couldn’t ask for a more friendly, down to earth knowledgeable guy.

5 stars for Luis - Highly recommend a Jeep tour if you are staying in Cabo - this was our favorite activity of the trip! Luis was our guide and he was absolutely amazing! He picked us up at the hotel in the morning and took us on an outstanding tour. It was the perfect mix of safe but fun off-roading and the scenery is absolutely beautiful. It was great having Luis because he is a local and was able to answer a lot of our questions about the area and give us recommendations for great local spots to checkout. He was also extremely friendly and has a very good understanding of all the roads and small towns! If you decide to do this definitely ask for Luis!

Totally Blown Away - My husband and I Loved our private jeep tour to Cabo Pulmo National Park /and the surrounding area. Our very professional, considerate, and safe driver Emilio picked us up at our hotel. It was great to have this experienced local guide share his love of nature and this beautiful area with us over the course of our outing.
We opted for the non-highway route there which took us along fun, dirt roads that wound through jaw-dropping beauty.
The entire experience truly blew us away! From snorkeling in the calm, aquarium-like waters of the Sea of Cortez, to stunning oceanfront/desert roads, and endless mountains, to an absolutely amazing, small-town, taco stand with delicious food and margaritas: we could not have been more impressed. To top it off, we met the sweetest wild donkeys who lived on the beach (please don't make the same mistake as us and forget to bring them treats like apples)
Throughout the trip, Emilio set a chill and never-rushed vibe. At the end of the ride, I told him our outing was an experience of a lifetime...and it was! Very grateful to have been able to experience the beauty and hospitality of Los Cabos.

Amazing Adventure! Great experience! - Look no further! This is the best spot for all types of excursion. We did a private a private jeep tour with another family that we vacationed with! (4 adults and 6 teenagers) It was beyond perfect, clean new jeeps and Broncos and went to some spectacular spots, we did it all. Off roading, hiking, waterfall swimming, rock jumping, and a spectacular lunch that was ready when we arrived at the sweetest local spot.
But honestly what made this trip the experience to remember was the awesome crew. Energetic, fun, and so knowledgeable of the area and it’s history. Our tour guide crew, Marco Salas, Luis Soto, and Romina and another girl (totally forgot her name 😳) took our day to the next level of FUN!
We would absolutely recommend the Jeep tour.
But, We also took a Surf lesson the next day with Marco Polo Latinos Ruiz, and he was awesome as well! The 3 of us that took a Lesson surfed the rest of that day, and 2 more times that week. He was very thorough and made sure to explain the safety measures prior to going in the water. Once in the water he worked with each of us like it was a personal lesson. Marco from our Jeep tour guide was at the beach that day taking some awesome photos, this was just the icing on the cake to a already spectacular experience. His photography skills are amazing.
Great job Hightides! You have great employees that love their job and it shows, the made our experience amazing! The attention to detail, like umbrellas and snacks at the swim spot are the small things that show you really appreciate your customers.
P.S. We ran into Luis Soto during one of our other trips to the Surf beach, he was preparing to teach another group to surf. He was genuinely excited to see us, and hear about our family surfing adventures. 😄

Awesome hike and waterfall Jeep excursion - We had an amazing day with our guide Hugo! Hugo was waiting for us at our hotel to pick us up. He was super personable and very knowledgeable about the area. He took us on an amazing hike to a beautiful waterfall and swimming hole. It was so cool! Hugo was a great guide. We had a delicious lunch at a local restaurant. We have another excursion planned and are going to request Hugo! Highly recommend this excursion especially if you get Hugo as a guide.
