Up close and personal with the whale shark - This trip has been on my bucket list for three years, and it did not disappoint. All small groups got into the water with whale sharks three or four times. They made sure that those that did not see the fish on the first time had extra chances to try again. I had up close and personal time with the whale shark twice. It was fantastic!

We had several opportunities to get in the water to swim with the whale sharks and kept us and the whale safe - Pia was so helpful in restaurants, arranged for photos while swimming with the whale sharks, a very safe driver - Thank you! Christy and the Captain on the boat were awesome! Christy led us on the swims, kept us safe and helped us see the whale sharks eating. Thank you! A couple things would help us prepare: Let us know we would be stopping for breakfast on way to La Paz, we would have wetsuits on the boat, and to wear biodegradable sunscreen.

Wonderful unique day trip to magnificent animals - We loved our guide and the small group setting. It was amazing to see the whale sharks and the guide made sure everyone had a chance. Looking into their eye was something amazing!!! The guide did not seem to overwhelm the shark and that made me feel good because I have seen how some tours can swarm animals. When you get close it’s hectic because they can swim away but the guide helped tremendously in getting us there and helping us negotiate to the animal. The water was very rough and the swimming required was a bit tricky. I think I would have been concerned about smaller children bc it’s hard to look for the guide and shark in large waves - keeping a hold on small kids would have been a lot. That said, the boat driver also kept an eye on everyone so that made me feel safe.

Great Experience! Highly Recommend! - Our family had an awesome experience with Angelika! She has a depth of knowledge on whale sharks and other marine life. She was a fantastic host, making sure we were comfortable during the car ride and during the whole experience. She had us so well informed on what to expect before we even got there. There were MANY whale sharks and we had plenty of opportunities to view them up close. Highly recommend!

Fantastic Day - We had an amazing excursion with Cabo Trek while visiting mid-end of January. At first, conditions weren't ideal and, rather than cancel our excursion, we were luckt enough that we could reschedule and conditions complied. Biggest point of confusion for us was the part about needing transportation. We thought we needed to find transportation to La Paz, when in reality, we just needed to find our own way to their location in the Cabo Marina near the El Tesoro Hotel. Angelica / Angie was our guide– she was exceptionally knowledgeable, accommodating, and caring/comforting. She had all the tips and took us to some great local food spots (incredibly delicious). The only bummer, really, was that there wasn't enough room for her on the boat that day! There are truly no words to describe seeing a whale shark for the first time, let alone getting to swim with them. A full wetsuit (vs. shorty) is definitely recommended for this time of year. I realize the forecast claimed the water was 80ºF, however, the wind and sporadic drizzle made it feel much cooler. All that my parents, partner, and I can say is this excursion was well worth the money for their hospitality, knowledge, partnership/conservation efforts, and whale sharks. Thank you again for an amazing experience -- we will definitely be back for another adventure!

The best operator in Cabo! - I did both scuba diving and whale shark snorkel. The whale shark experience was amazing, but would have been better with full wet suit. Scuba diving we were the only 2 so had a dive master Angelica and the captain. So special that Cano trek took us even with just 2 divers. My dive buddy had some trouble getting down and she was a previous dive master. She needed some more weight and she asked me to mention if the dive master had more experience and “put hands on” taken her hand with the extra weight and helped her down she would have completed the dives. But due to the difficulty she choose not to dive. The visibility was not good but that is just diving. I appreciate that they honored the reservation and I got to dive regardless of the conditions. I will use this operator in the future and have recommended them to my sister. They coordinated our hotel, trip etc seamless and was patient in answering all of my emails and questions quickly. Also introduced themselves. Other then the unusual cold weather, the experiences were above my expectations. Thank you all the people who made my trip so special.

Memorable! - It's hard to articulate this experience in words. What majestic creatures - I am still in awe! Cabo Trek (Carlos) made certain we were comfortable and safe, and taught us so much about the whale sharks. Our 5 person group ranged from age 64 to 1 year old. We took turns holding the baby on the boat so the adults could go in. The 6 year old even went in! The seas were choppy and windy on our day, which is great for seeing the whale sharks feed, but tough on those prone to sea sickness. Thanks to Cabo Trek for a memorable experience!!

Whale sharks 🦈 - Wonderful time snorkeling with the whale sharks in La Paz. Emmy and Mike were our guides and they were super helpful and super knowledgeable. Cabo adventures even arranged to come and pick us up along with others and transport us to the marina. No extra charge for that. I would suggest though, that when they say be ready to go, they mean be ready to go! Have your mask/fins on and ready to jump.… The whale sharks do not hover in one place they swim around eating plankton, once you see them, keep swimming! Highly recommend-well worth the money and time!!!

A great day with whale sharks - We had a wonderful day trip to La Paz to see whale sharks with Carlos! We have had great experiences with Cabo Trek before, so we weren't surprised that our guide was awesome and respectful of wildlife. We were traveling with friends with limited snorkeling experience, and who were in Cabo for the first time. They had a blast and learned a lot on this excursion! We were lucky to have seen a whale shark this late in the season! Carlos is interesting and informative, and we all really enjoyed his company. He is a wealth of information about marine biology, and an experienced freediver, We look forward to future adventures with Cabo Trek.
