Additional Information

Experience the best of southern Baja’s towns with the La Paz Tour! We kick off bright and early, journeying along the eastern highway from San Jose del Cabo to La Paz. Our route takes us through several towns (not listed here) as we make our way to the east coast, home to Buena Vista and Los Barriles. Here, we encounter the Sea of Cortez for the first time.

As we soak up the stunning views of the gulf and desert landscapes for some time, our trip gradually moves back inland towards the lower sierra mountains, home to the mining towns of San Bartolo.

Exploring the numerous sights of the charming city of La Paz, we’ll experience its pristine beaches, stroll along its stunning Malecon, and get some free time to shop for arts, crafts, and souvenirs.

As we travel back via the Pacific side highway, we get ready for our final destination - Todos Santos.

Loved the day out to La Paz and area. 🚐🌝 - Punctual, van not crowded and good leg room. It was an amazing day with Mario & his funny side-kick. Group was some Americans, some Mexicans and Canadian. (Me) What fun we had. Stopping at places we would have missed if we had self-toured. Lots of breaks for "banos" offered :-) and learning about local places from long-time residents made it even better. Vibrant restaurant for the lunch included. Off the tourist area so we experienced a day of La Paz. The mountain range la laguna was amazing to see close up. Thanks for a really enjoyable yet relaxing day. Leave the driving to Mario and learn about the area that you can't get anywhere else.

Great private trip to La Paz - We had a wonderful trip for a group of six with our exceptional tour guide Mario. We claimed him as an honorary cousin since he was so great. He had wonderful stories, knew his way around and we felt very safe with him. We got to see a lot of very interesting and out the way local spots. He took us to a wonderful restaurant for breakfast where we had the most delicious empanadas and tamales made by the sweetest family with the most delicious homemade hot sauce-an experience we would have never gotten without Mario’s expert knowledge! We learned a lot and got to visit the Tropic of Cancer to see handmade goods made by local artisans as well as a lot of places of shopping as well as visiting the oasis/hot springs. La Paz was a beautiful town and we got to see the beautiful church and learn a lot about the local area. There are not enough words to describe how great Mario was and how much we enjoyed the experience. The car was very comfortable as well. Mario was flexible and adjusted the activities to ensured we got everything we wanted out of the trip.

GREAT TOUR DAY WITH THE BEST TOUR GUIDE, MARIO!!!! - The four of us traveling booked a private tour that included La Paz, Hotel California, Balandra Beach, Todos Santos, a tequila tasting stop, and the tour included lunch at one of the other beaches near Balandra. The scenery along the roads and sites really gives you an authentic experience of what life is like outside the tourist areas in Mexico. Mario, our diver, picked us up at our hotel in Cabo and we headed out for an eleven hour tour. Mario was AMAZING he was so friendly, personable, great driver, EXTREMELY knowledgeable, and let us plan the timing of each stop, etc with no pressure. We had the best day and was definitely due to him being such a wonderful tour guide. I highly recommend Rancho tours and make sure you ask for Mario for an enjoyable experience you won't ever forget.

BECAREFUL - This company was subcontracted to do an all day tour for us, with hotel pick up. They arrived early, at the WRONG door of the hotel, not reception, where we were sitting waiting for them. They left without us and told us it was our fault. We have not received any refund and I have missed the tour I was most excited about. Be VERY CAREFUL!

We had a tour scheduled... - We had a tour scheduled today for “ La Paz historical tour” that was set to leave at 7:30am and the driver, whose name is Uriel Castaño, did not wait for us in the lobby and left us all together. We were never given a pickup time but since the voucher stated 7:30am we decided to come down early. We were our way down and according to security here at our hotel, because we spoke with them, the driver entered the hotel to pick us up at 6:59am and had left the hotel by 7:06am. At 7:08am when we arrived at the lobby, The bell desk informed us that the driver came in asked to call us and when we didn’t answer in our room, because we were walking down, just left and told the bell desk he couldn’t wait. Once we arrived at the lobby the bell desk informed us that he had left and and that he did not wait. we tried to call Rancho Tours but there was never any answer. We walked over to the pickup spot and the tour was already gone. To say that I am very upset is an understatement.

I Paid for an English Tour - I paid for an English tour.😡But the tour guide insisted that there be a mix of both Spanish and English so it was very hard for my daughter and I to understand. We had to ask several times to repeat information in English. Overall I would not recommend this to anyone who doesn’t have a grasp on the Spanish language.
