Don't hesitate, Carlos is the best. - I travel alone, so I've been looking for the most appropriate price for a private day tour at each platform, which is the best price I've found after comparing several platforms! If you're traveling alone, don't hesitate to book it. Carlos picked me up at his hotel in Old Quito in the morning, and then he drove me all the way to chat, and as he passed the equator line he also took out his mobile phone measurement software and told me that we were about to pass the equator, that his English was great, and that there was nothing you couldn't understand. The first stop on my way to fulfillment was the birdwatching garden, where there were many, many special hummingbirds. I spent an hour here, feeding hummingbirds with a feeder in my hand was an unprecedented experience, and Carlos took many beautiful photos of me. The second stop was an orchid and butterfly garden, and he explained some of the orchids to me. Together, we observed the process of four species of butterflies moving from eggs to metamorphosis. There are only a few, but Mindo's various gardens should be these kinds of butterflies this season. We then went to the waterfall and while waiting for the waterfall cable car, Carlos spotted a tucan bird and took my picture. The waterfalls, if anything, aren't very stunning, but they should also be the best you can see in the area. After that we went to a restaurant for lunch and I particularly liked the chili sauce and guanabana juice 🍹, which was very recommended, and I also ordered fettuccine noodles, which were also very good in taste and weight. We ended up at a chocolate factory where you could see the cacao fruit trees and fruits, taste the chocolate in all its flavors and contents, and decide whether to buy it or not, depending on whether you liked it or not. Coming to Ecuador I decided I wanted to buy some chocolates. I bought a total of 15 boxes of chocolates at 7usd each, and I got 10% off cash payments. Carlos returned me to the hotel after buying chocolate. It's worth mentioning that I left my room key in his car and, despite his other new assignments, he did his best to help me put it somewhere I could pick it up, very conscientiously. The whole trip was pleasant, you just had to bring some change to pay for birdwatching, butterfly garden and lunch, which I really recommend and hope Carlos will be there for you too.

Have you ever fed a hummingbird or butterfly? - Irene our guide made this tour a memorable day. She shared her knowledge about the places visited, the fauna and flora. We were a small group and thanks to her sense of humor she created a family atmosphere. As for Yvan, our driver, he accompanied us on this day and managed the heavy traffic flexibly.

A beautiful experience! - We went with my boyfriend who came from Australia for the first time to Ecuador and we really loved the ride. The view is beautiful and the activities are very fun. We saw a lot of animals and the food was delicious! Our guide was Irene and you really noticed that she knew a lot about the area attractions and the birds for the sighting. Her English skills also helped us a lot to make my boyfriend feel more included in the tour. Super recommended to tour with Irene! During a walk, I suffered a very heavy sprain and she took care of me throughout the trip. He put ice on me and helped me walk down the trail to the waterfall. If she hadn’t taken action soon, my wound would probably have been worse, so I’m very grateful.” We would definitely take a tour with Quito Tour Bus again!

Recommend - I went on this tour a few days ago and i had a lot of fun. I definetly recommend it! We saw lots of pretty birds and the waterfall and the way to the waterfall are so beautiful! The highlight of the tour though was our tourguide Irene. She was a well of knowledge and very enthousiastic. She told us so many stories on the way and showed us many things. It definetly wouldve been less fun without her!

Wonderful day in Ecuadorian nature - Had a wonderful day in Mindo with Irene as our trusty guide and Ivan as our driver. It was a full day of activities immersed in the beauty of nature Ecuador has to offer. We visited a bird sanctuary and fed hummingbirds, saw thousands of butterflies up close at the butterfly sanctuary, hiked down to the Nambillo waterfall, enjoyed a delicious trout lunch, and finished our day w delicious chocolate tasting at Yumbos. Throughout it all Irene kept us informed and entertained, really appreciated her patience and wealth of knowledge. Highly recommend Irene and the tour company!

We were grossly overcharged. - The nature and the activities were wonderful but we were grossly overcharged. We paid $189 Canadian and part way through the day we learned that the other two participants paid only $65 for the exact same tour. Our guide tried to get us to pay for admissions that we had already paid via Viator and I had to argue with him and he make phone calls to sort it out (wasting 30 minutes). Even so, we paid much more than the local company was actually charging for the tour. Our local guide was highly unprofessional at several points, rushing us along and making derogatory comments about another participant who was limited in their fitness during the hike. I guess he did not know we understood Spanish. I will never book with Viator again given this rip off experience.
