Additional Information

Join us on our LA Noir Ghost Tour in Downtown LA, where we probe into the dark side of the city, accompanied by drinks at two supposedly haunted bars.

We commence our journey at the Biltmore Hotel, known to be the last spot where the Black Dahlia was seen. We then make a halt at Clifton’s, revealing the unsung secretive side of its Christian founder who led the fight against corruption. Following that is Hotel Cecil, notorious for its horrific history of homicides, suicides and notorious residents like the ‘Night Stalker’. Later, we head to the once luxurious Alexandria Hotel, believed to be still frequented by the spirit of Rudolph Valentino in his former penthouse. From there, the trail leads us to the Barclay Hotel, which has been the dwelling of two serial murderers and has witnessed some savage homicides. Near the end, we visit the site where the Chinatown Massacre of 1871 unfolded. The tour concludes at the ‘Halls of Justice’, the location of numerous trials that includes Benjamin “Bugsy” Siegel and Charles Manson.

Excellent murder mystery tour of DTLA - Sonja was a great guide and an excellent story teller. The tour was relaxed and professional and it was a fun way to see part of LA I would otherwise probably not see. Well worth the trip.

Living on History Grounds And Not Knowing About It. - It's crazy how much history L.A. has that I never heard of. I have been driving through these L.A. streets for years not knowing the history of what happened. Really great experience, I would recommend it if you want to know the history of L.A....

Great Tour With a Great Tour Guide - I really enjoyed my experience. I booked this trip for my girlfriend for her birthday and we had a blast. Chris was our tour guide and he was entertaining, knowledgeable, and passionate about what he does. The route we went on took us through some of the oldest buildings in DTLA and Chris did a great job not only telling us about some of the murders that occurred in them, but also some of the ghost stories he has heard in the lore as well as recent ghost stories he has heard from current residents of the buildings. Chris also tied in some architectural and Los Angeles history as well! Expect the tour to be three hours long. We did make one stop at this really cool bar along the way so that was a treat as well. I would definitely recommend this experience.

Great experience on true crime tour :) - We had an amazing time exploring the city on this tour during our first time in LA! Damien and Chris both had immense knowledge of not only the true crime locations we came for, but the architecture and history of Los Angeles in general. Stories were engaging yet factual (no fluff), and also were respectful of the victims of the crimes. The walking never felt strenuous, as we only walked for a few minutes at a time and stopped in front of each location for 10-15 minutes or so. Even though one location is in a seedier part of town, we never felt like we were in danger, and appreciated our guides choosing safe locations for the group to stop. We also enjoyed stopping at the bar halfway through the tour- loved the spooky antique vibes! Damien gave us some great restaurant recommendations and answered a lot of our curious newcomer questions about LA, and Chris was kind enough to make sure we felt comfortable walking back to our car at the end of the night. The tour was an exciting way to explore DTLA and see locations we’ve heard about in stories. The 3 hours really flew by! I would definitely recommend The Real Los Angeles Tours to any true crime lover in the area! Thanks Damien and Chris!
