There is a photo opportunity around every turn as we climb to the Airport-in-the-Sky. At this stop, visit the Nature Center and peer down at one of Catalina’s original Native American gathering sites. The fee to the Catalina Island Conservancy directly supports the preservation of the animals, endangered species, and endemic plants on Catalina Island.

Naturalist onboard enriches experience with wildlife and inside knowledge of the areas visiting during the tour.
- You MUST arrive 15 minutes prior to boarding to check in. We leave promptly at the scheduled time and cannot wait. When booking travel to the island please make sure to give enough time from arrival to island to get to tour departure location.
- We are located on Catalina Island, You must secure transportation to the island to take the tour. There are no refunds if you miss the tour.
- TRAVEL TO CATALINA IS NOT INCLUDED. Transportation needed by Ferry to Island.
- Children Under 5 will not be able to participate in the tour.

In the Catalina Cabrillo Mole, building located where ferries dock. Across from Catalina Express offices & same building as day lockers. There is a Welcome To Catalina statue in front, walk about 50 feet past. If you go through Mole building & reach the parking lot you gone a little too far.

Don’t pass this one up - This is not only fun, but very informative with views of the island that you can’t see without the special access. Sergio, our tour guide was entertaining and knows his island history well . I would highly recommend this tour.

We snagged tickets for... - We snagged tickets for the 5:40pm tour and had an absolutely amazing time soaking in the most stunning views of the Island!

Catalina's Riveting Rambling Road - The reservation process was straight forward. The actual tour was a long employed duo of driver and guide speaking with a handheld speaker wired to a headset microphone. As long time resident the guide's insight to life and landscape of the island was a pleasure to absorb as much as it was revealing as we rambled on roads protected from being repaved by law, only patched, as both conservation and lifeline infrastructure it was an experience in and of itself. Not to be missed.

Fabulous Island Adventure Tour. - Luke was our guide ana Shelly was our driver for our morning early island adventure tour today. They were fabulous despite this not being Luke’s regular gig. He was spontaneous and had great energy. We saw bison and a fox and had a lovely tour. They even found my hat on the way down after it blew off on the way up. I would definitely recommend this tour on Catalina to others.

Great Wildlife Tour - Great tour that took us into the hills! If you’re not into windy roads and edges there’s that to keep in mind, but its the best way to see wildlife! We saw catalina fox, bison & deer. Knowledgable tour guide as well!

Beautiful views, but misleading information - Guides were polite and kind with lots of knowledge and interesting facts about the island history.
The description is misleading though. While you can’t control nature, they give the appearance there are enough bisons roaming around that you’re bound to see one close enough to at least see it with your phone camera zoomed in. That really isn’t the case.
It’s a great tour with beautiful breathtaking views, but don’t keep your hopes up for bison, deer or fox during the day tours.

It's a Nice Getaway for 2 hours- Don't Get High Hopes for Seeing Bison - It was a nice getaway for 2 hours out of the touristy area of Avalon. Do not get your hopes up about seeing bisons particularly if you are familiar with going on wildlife safaris. We saw one bison and maybe two the entire trip I thought it would be really the highlight of the trip but it just wasn't and we were very far away from the bison we did see. Clearly they don't control where the bison end up but to promote it as a bison tour is misleading. You do get to the airport which is a nice perspective the roads are very windy so if you have issues with heights I would recommend not sitting by the window. If you had to make a choice between this and the city tour I would pick the City tour.
