Highlights
  • Hard Rock Cafe - Back in 1971, Americans Isaac Tigrett and Peter Morton opened the first Hard Rock Cafe in London. Their landlord didn't think they could pull it off, so he granted them a three-month lease.

How wrong that landlord was. Today, the franchise - which includes cafes, casinos and hotels - can be found in more than 63 countries. The franchise owns the world's greatest collection of music memorabilia, and you can see it on display at its locations around the globe.

Recommended, especially fun with teenagers. - The staff was very hospitable. In addition to the unique setting, the food was also delicious. The acoustic menu is also highly recommended. Very good price/quality ratio. Top!

Worth the visit - Whenever we travel, we stop by the restaurant for a meal and to buy souvenirs. It's right in the middle of Hollywood. There are good shops next door, a shopping mall and it seemed very safe to walk around there. The atmosphere is large, beautiful and the service is very friendly. Food follows the chain's standards. We really liked it.

Kind and Conscientious - I will start off by saying I did not go to the Cafe to eat. I went to to visit the Rock Shop and look at the memorabilia. I was in LA back in 2004 but it was before I collect the shot glasses. The young man at the register was very kind and helpful. He showed me where the sale items were and gave me permission to look through the restaurant even though he shouldn’t have. I was surprised they didn’t have more big name items on display. Several of the artist I had never heard of. My only Rex is go early and beat the crowds.

Had to go, whilst in LA it’s a must do, been to a few now!! - Ok so the food at this chain is similar where ever you are in the world, it’s good, big portions, nothing special, the service was good here, the location was near the Chinese theatre but it’s not as nice as the one in New York or Universal City walk Orlando, but whilst in LA it’s a must visit when you’ve got kids, or teens.

The brand guarantee - Going to the Hard Rock cafe for lunch is perhaps not the best choice. You enter a very large and very dark room. However, the quality of the food is guaranteed by the brand. Good burgers and prawns.

Expected better when compared with London and Rome Cafes - Pre booked and service was good, nice large restaurant and additional menu for this LA branch (on top of the normal menu). Unfortunately the food arrived cold, but was so hungry I didn’t argue. Rest rooms not easily accessible for any disabilities - including sight, its pitch black when you walk in.

Don’t waste your time and money here - In a relatively empty restaurant we asked to be seated on the more comfortable banquete seating but we’re refused. There were around 10 banks free - apparently reserved for a large group. No group showed and shortly after we sat down a group of 4 girls were shown to one of the banks. The food was ok but waiter cleared half our plates before we had finished and slapped the bill on the table whilst still eating.

Food not that great:( - Food was not worth what I payed! I asked for my burger to be well done and it came out pink. My husband got the shrimp and it wasn’t very tasty. We didn’t have great service either:(

Couldn't even get a drink at the bar - This is one to skip. My wife and I tried to get a drink at the bar yesterday (10/10, about 2:00), but the lone bartender (Elvis) wouldn't wait on us. We waited and waited and waited. As Elvis was taking orders from customers who had walked up to the bar and were standing (we were seated, patiently), my wife said, "You are busy." The bartender responded curtly, "Yes, I am." Then he continued to wait on others. He could have said, "Yes, I will be with you in a moment." Apparently, that would have been too much effort on his part. A few minutes later, we left and walked to The Hollywood Roosevelt where we were able to get drinks at 25 Degrees.

HORRIBLE! - The food was horrible (i.e. sliders overcooked, Salmon also over cooked). Music was so loud that no one at our table could hear anyone!!! ABSURD!!!
