We hold the distinction of being the only family-operated food tour company native to LA. Back in 2009, we pioneered the first food tour in Downtown LA. A lively, passionate, and well-informed local LA resident will accompany you as a tour guide and fellow culinary enthusiast for an engaging 3.5-hour tour. We will begin at LA’s oldest open-air public market for tasty samples at a couple of our preferred food counters. Following this, we take a trip down historical Broadway for a spectacular bird’s eye view of lesser-known landmarks like the Bradbury Building before stepping into an exquisite Italian osteria to indulge in a wonderful platter of homemades pastas. The gastronomical journey continues as guests make a pit stop at the Last Bookstore before feasting on some tacos, and concluding the tour with a luscious dessert. Guests will be making stops at 5 local dining establishments with tastings adding up to a full meal. The adventure also includes a leisurely stroll around Downtown LA, a complimentary tote bag for takeaway or shopping goodies, and, in this exclusive food tour experience, an opportunity for bonding over.

Fantastic LA food tour - This food tour was fantastic. We ate some brilliant food that we otherwise would not have found or tried but also we got to learn some history and see some of the brilliant downtown buildings and sights. The length of the tour and distance was perfect for me, my husband and parents.
Our guide, Darlene, was really knowledgeable and was a brilliant host. Would highly recommend this tour!

Hands down the best food tour I’ve ever been on! Sally and her daughter Madeline made downtown Los Angeles feel like a culinary playground. They turned a city that’s often thought of as “not walkable” into an unforgettable adventure — part history lesson, part cultural journey, and part feast.
Every stop was thoughtfully chosen, showcasing both the flavors and stories that make LA so unique. The food was absolutely phenomenal, from hidden gems we never would have found on our own to iconic bites that truly represent the city. But what really stood out was Sally’s gift for weaving in fascinating facts, personal touches, and the heart of Los Angeles into the entire experience. She made us feel like we weren’t just eating — we were connecting to the culture, history, and people of LA.

A true Gem: The food tours to end all others! - Hands down the best food tour I’ve ever been on! Sally and her daughter Madeline made downtown Los Angeles feel like a culinary playground. Food, drink, good company, a great host, what else do you need. - Our office just had the pleasure of being taken on an amazing food tour of Santa Monica. Sally was personable, knowledgeable, loved by each restaurant owner that she walked into. The food selections were delicious and being able to walk to the next spot was great for digestion! We all had a great time and we will absolutely be going back to these restaurants. Six Taste is a great option for a family hang, office team building, just a bunch of friends who want to explore a part of town... there should be a spot for Six stars.

Great stroll through downtown LA- more than food! - My son and I had a great time on our tour. Darlene was so knowledgable. We not only got food, but some LA history and a special stop at the bookstore. My only advice would be not to double book yourself. We had early evening plans and the tour was running a bit behind (nice not to feel rushed!). That didn't work for us, as we needed to get back to the hotel before 3 (the tour was supposed to end at 2:30) so we missed the last two food stops.

I own a food tour in Tucson, so I enjoy taking them in other cities. This is the only locally owned non franchise tour in LA, so obviously it’s the one I chose to support. This is also the original food tour in LA, owned and operated by the nicest couple. They have so much great food on this tour, there’s no way I could eat it all, and I have a big appetite! There were interesting tidbits of history, architecture, and artwork sprinkled in as well. The owner was the guide, and she had a great relationship with all of the places we stopped at (which includes the most amazing book store I’ve ever seen). I highly recommend this food tour. Research food tours before you sign up for one and make sure you support local.
This would be a great team building or office party experience!

Fabulous Food Tour! - My husband and I treated visiting family members to a private downtown L.A. food tour with Sally, and the experience was a highlight of their week-long visit. Sally is an exceptional tour guide – fun, personable, extremely knowledgeable, and passionate regarding Los Angeles and the foods of our extremely diverse population. We booked the tour with Six Taste based on our own research, as well as recommendations from several friends, and we were absolutely delighted with our choice. I highly recommend this tour for incredible food, an extraordinary guide and a truly wonderful experience! (We’re already planning another Six Taste Tour.) Thank you, Sally!

10 out of 10 Going Again! - It was an amazing tour and we were able to discover/ learn about so many buildings and history in downtown. I've passed these streets my whole life and did not realize how much beauty and history we had right here at home. I plan to go to a couple more tours soon. Food was also amazing. I enjoyed it so much I forgot to take photos! thank you, Sally from the Valley.!!!!

The BEST! - Visiting L.A. from Georgia, we decided a food tour would be a great way to get to know the city a bit on our short trip. We were not disappointed!! Hethy was an AMAZING guide (& I have been on many food tours)! She was so warm, welcoming, and has an obvious a love for her hometown, the food, and the culture. We had wonderful food, visited several historic sites, and learned more about the area than I expected. I HIGHLY recommend a food tour with Six Taste. I can't wait to come back to try some of their others. It is no wonder Six Taste has excellent reviews.
