Highlights
  • Summer Time Lane - The ascent during sunset mirrors the daytime ascent, but culminates with the experience of watching the sunset from the lofty heights of the treetops. Additionally, we utilize headlamps for nocturnal climbing and rappelling activities post-sunset, offering a slightly more thrilling experience than our daytime offerings!\n\nWe embark on a collective climb on a variety of trees, scaling heights ranging from 100 to 200 feet, amidst a blend of ancient old-growth and younger second-growth trees. The number of trees you’ll climb, ranging from one to four, is contingent on the group’s composition and the climbers’ proficiency. Ascending 20 stories amidst Coastal Douglas Fir Trees provides a breathtaking vantage point and vistas that are a rarity to behold. Awaiting you at the summit are panoramic views of mountains, wildlife, and the sea.\n\nNo prior climbing experience is required, but participants must be at least 8 years old.\n\nDiscover the art of scaling towering trees using ascenders to reach the limbs, followed by branch climbing to the canopy’s apex! The method of using ascenders is akin to performing squat exercises.\n\nGiven that our adventure extends into the evening, it’s advisable to dress in warm, athletic attire, including long pants that shield the ankles, and sports footwear. Opt for clothing that you wouldn’t mind getting soiled or worn. We will supply all the necessary climbing gear.

Could have stayed up there all night - We did the Sunset Canopy Climb. Learning the techniques and equipment on the "practice" tree was a great way to build confidence, though if there is a larger group of people it takes some time to get through everyone. The guides are very friendly and encouraging as you find yourself amidst unbelievable heights. Be sure to plan for the ferry schedule in advance. Thanks again to Leo and Brendan!

Canopy Climb at Deception Pass - a Must Do! - Sunset or no sunset, this is a must for anyone's bucket list! What a thrill! You can do this even if you've never climbed a tree before! Equipment is new, guides are very friendly and highly experienced. They are also very patient! In our case, the guide hung close by one of our group and encouraged them in such a wonderful manner that the person is still talking about the great "customer service" they got on our climb a couple of weeks ago! I'd do it again when we have guests visiting, etc.

Tree Top gaze- takes your breath away! - Leo provides an unforgettable Old Growth tree climbing experience that is educational, recreational and life changing. If you ever find yourself in Washington State, this unique exposure that a tiny fraction of the population gets to experience, is a must do. The smells, the views, the physical and mental exhilaration will be forever embedded in your soul. These 350-750 year old gentle giants have stood in their glory all these years enabling us to still have the opportunity to scale and admire. Thank you Leo for this breathtaking experience!

Wonderful experience on beautiful trees! - My sister in laws and I decided to do this for a 50th bday celebration. This was the most amazing, unique, beautiful way to celebrate starting our 5th decade! Leo was very patient with us and did a fantastic job helping us through our climb. We felt very comfortable going at our own pace and always felt secure and safe in the equipment. The views were awe inspiring and there is no describing the feeling of sitting on a tree branch 200 feet up in the air! The tree itself is an amazing giant- and I appreciate the fact that every care is taken to preserve the tree and not stress it. I highly recommend doing a tree climb! It is an adventure few have taken, but once you have done it, you will never forget it!
