Waccamaw River Heritage Preserve - Guests float down to River Island to explore and relax. It is an 48 acre island located a half mile down river from our Outpost.

Spend a delightful afternoon drifting along the picturesque Waccamaw River in an inflatable river tube or kayak. Feel free to bring along some snacks and beverages, or pick some up from our Snack Shack, to enjoy while you explore the river.

The trip duration can range from 25 to 45 minutes, depending on the river’s flow. Within the 3-hour reservation period, you can embark on 2 to 3 trips.

Upon arriving at our Outpost, you’ll discover:

• Entertainment and games: Have fun with our unique oversized yard games like Jenga, Connect 4, Corn Hole, and more.
• Facilities: Enjoy access to 4 restrooms, 4 changing rooms with hot showers, hammocks, swings, a large fire pit, picnic tables, and propane grills available for your use.
