Great value for money - Usually book online for city sightseeing tour buses when we’re on holiday. Prior to arriving in London for the weekend, I’d priced a 24hour day pass (2 adults and 1 child age 11 years) at approximately £86. Never booked then forgot all about it. However, as we were just about to cross London Bridge, a very persuasive but friendly employee from a similar company - Topview- stopped us and we ended up with a great deal for the tour bus and a cruise, which he said he would include for free (£69 for three of us. I later priced this online for £101). Bus stopped at many stops and we never had to wait for a bus although sometimes there was a wait at the stops due to passengers/other buses infront of us etc. We managed to see all the main sights. Only followed the red route as we didn’t have time for the blue route. Beat thing for us was the live commentary on both the cruise and the buses. Very friendly, entertaining and humorous guides who clearly enjoyed their jobs. However, on the buses there was also the option to ask the guide for the headphones to listen to audio commentary. Will definitely consider booking with Topview again and will bear in mind that a better deal is to be had in person (and probably commission/targets met for the employee in the process too).

London hop on hop off - This was a great way to see the sites of London and have a little bit of commentary overhead headphones. We saw a lot of different things.

Buses need to be cleaned... - Buses need to be cleaned more often in between rides. Bus stops need to be labeled better so that they can be found easier

2 tours in 10 hours - Hard to reach 2 trips in one day. It would be better if you could divide the tours over 2 days. The trip takes 2 1/2 hours and the bus runs only for 10 hours and then it is difficult to reach to take 2 trips

Abandoned - We got on the red line at Trafalgar Square to make the loop. At a subsequent stop, the driver announced that he was going on break and we needed to get off the bus. After 15 minutes another bystander came along and the driver told us that no bus would take us back to Trafalgar Square from that stop. We caught an Ubber to our hotel. Disappointed.

Purchased hop on/hop off... - Purchased hop on/hop off in London for 5 adults on Saturday, May 17th. Buses were scheduled to run until 6:00, however the stops did not have regular pick ups. One driver stopped after we chased the bus to tell me his bus was full near Westminster Abbey (only about 6 passengers on board) and to wait or go to next stop. Buses were transporting protestors and not paying customers. We walked to Buckingham Palace to get on a bus that was going to be decommissioned at Victoria and told another bus would take us on our journey. Upon arrival we were asked to get off and find our way as the last bus had departed. We then had to pay additional fees to ride the tube back to our hotel destination. I would like to have a refund for the inability to use the tour service as planned. Very disappointed with the customer service and wasted money to have a good day in London. Instead I had to pay more money to get from place to place or walk the route.

Go with someone else - The people in the red jackets were nice and helpful. The driver was ok too but the commentary was very poor. It’s the main reason you use these buses so when they don’t tell you much it’s very disappointing. They didn’t even tell us when we went past the Big Ben. There was little history mentioned. The timing was all wrong and they didn’t mention the numbers from the map so you had no idea when to get off or where you were. I don’t recommend this company at all.

Hopeless comms - Don’t speak to the street vendor ticket sellers. Don’t waste your breath! They are not helpful at all when you have a question, they only want a sale. They ignore you, smoke, on their phones etc. Very bad representatives of your business!! As for the tour itself, it’s okay. But beware of their supposed tour start time of 8am, we have been waiting for over an hour and still no bus!!! Can’t reach anyone by phone. Hopeless. Do not recommend. A real shame given this is our first time ever in London/the UK from NZ.

Avoid TopView bus tours. - These guys are unfortunately not ones I can recommend. We were sold five tickets by one of their sales agents (Kamil) on the street at a bus stop, when we only had four people. And it was very clear there were only four of us because we were the only people at the stop with the agent - there was nobody else around. I have no doubt the sales guy (Kamil) knew exactly what he was doing, as he got us onto the bus and into our seats before giving us the folded up paperwork as the bus was about to depart, then he quickly hopped off the bus. When we finally discovered the discrepancy (after the bus had driven away from the stop), the driver told us he couldn’t help and we needed to contact customer service. We contacted customer service that night, and they eventually CONFIRMED that five tickets were sold, but only four were scanned. They told us their sales agent was being disciplined, but they declined/refused to issue a £39 refund and only would offer two free vouchers for future trips despite acknowledging their agent oversold our group, which is essentially theft by an employee. And two weeks later, the vouchers haven’t shown up either. I would absolutely avoid TopView Bus Tours in favor of one of the other companies.
