A Thrilling Adventure of a Lifetime! - I can't express enough how incredible our canyoning experience tour was in the Azores! It was hands down the highlight of our entire trip, and my son couldn't contain his excitement throughout the entire adventure. From the moment we met our guide João and Rodrigo, it was clear that we were in for a fantastic time. Their professionalism and expertise immediately put us at ease. Safety was their top priority, and they took the time to explain all the necessary precautions and equipment. As a parent, this was extremely reassuring. But it wasn't just about safety – our guide's passion for canyoning was infectious, and their sense of humor added an extra layer of enjoyment. They managed to strike the perfect balance between keeping us safe and entertained. It was evident that they had extensive experience and knew the ins and outs of the activity. The canyoning itself was an absolute blast! The Azores provided a stunning backdrop for our adventure, with breathtaking views and crystal-clear waters. The variety of challenges in the canyons kept us engaged and excited. From rappelling down waterfalls to navigating through narrow passages, every moment was an adrenaline rush. A really special memory, with a great company!! - It was wonderful from start to finish! Jaoa the guide collected me from my hotel and made me feel safe and welcome from the first moment. When we began the activity, Jaoa had the perfect combination of humour and focus on safety, making me feel in great hands. The activity itself could be quite physically demanding at times, as you climb the steep canyon paths, which can be slippery (so definitely consider your fitness levels before beginning). At each jump, traverse or slide we were given an ‘opt out’ version and while everyone encouraged each other, no one was pressured to do anything they weren’t comfortable with. I would highly recommend canyoning and especially Splash Azores (and Jaoa and his assistant) to anyone looking for a bit of adventure on their holiday to Sao Miguel!!
