Amazing Skocjan Caves and Piran - I ended up going to the caves with the rest of the group as I was the only one going to the horses. Best decision ever. The caves were amazing. They only have 35 people per group going through at one time so you're not fighting a crowd as you are walking through the cave. It's a must do. Once we finished we headed to Piran. Would have loved it more if it wasn't pouring down. Could have explored the side streets more but what we did was quite good. I can see why it's the Venice of Slovenia. A great day trip.

Beautiful Venetian city by the Sea, plus glorious horses - Walk up to Saint George’s church was memorable. my wife swim off the pier’s near the central plaza, and enjoyed it greatly. We had a pleasant meal sitting on the main Tartini Square. Prosciutto and sausages. The tour of the Lipica stud farm was also fascinating. It was wonderful to get up close to the horses and to be allowed to pet them gently. The horses are so beautiful. You can see why people fall in love with them. Our guide “Vasco” was informative and humorous. He apparently was in a rock band and would spontaneously riff and various rock themes.

Scenic Piran and more. Highly Recommend Guide Ziga Ivanc - We drove to Piran traversing different terrains, from Karst mountains to sub mediterrean climate, with wonderful explanations from our guide ZIGA IVANC, a student of geography. Then, we visited Piran and swam in the clear sea, jumping from a ladder on the rocky shore. We visited St Georgio Church, perched over the sea, with spectacular scenery. We ate grilled sardines in Izola and came back through the back countryside of vineyards and olive trees visiting a small village with a wine fountain. It was a private tour and we did not see the horses, preferring to focus on the coastline. What made our two excursions exceptional (we went to Lake Bled the day before) was our guide, ZIGA IVANC. He provided insight into the political, social history and current situation, being both serious, congenial and funny. He was also an excellent driver, and we felt safe with him. Overall, a truly exceptional experience which made us love Slovenia! Claire Germain

Private tour - Sipela our tour guide was wonderful with a wealth of knowledge and was not in rush and explained everything there is to know. I would definitely recommend this tour to anyone visiting Ljubljana. The town of Piran is so beautiful. We went on a carriage ride as well. The most enjoyable day out. Keep up the good work.

PIRAN COAST - Very good tour. I am embarresed that I forgot my guides name, but she was very good. It was raining pretty hard and was supposed to rain most of the day. I asked my guide if we could shorten the 9.5 hour tour down to about 5-6 because of the weather. It ended up being a great tour that way for me spending most of the time on The Adriatic Coast.

Personal Tour! - We were the only two people on the tour so it was very personal and the tour guide gave excellent attention to us. We had a wonderful time at the stud farm and the tour guide made extra stops at excellent view points of the coast line. Once we got to the city of Piran she gave a walking tour of the city.

Really interesting day trip allowing... -
Really interesting day trip allowing ample time at Lipica Stud Farm - we had a carriage ride and a guided tour. We then had two and a half hours at Piran the pearl of the Slovenian Adriatic and totally idyllic which included a lunch break at our own expense. Finally a visit to the salt flats outside Portoroz which were also fascinating. Lana was our chauffeur guide for the day and there was just me and a friend on the trip. Make sure that you state that you want to visit all of the places listed on the itinerary and have the written details to hand. Otherwise the guide might try to short change you.
