Highlight of my Visit to Ljubljana! - Many interesting exhibitions that made this one of my favourite castles to visit. Puppet museum was a highlight as well as the 4D film about the history of the castle. A must visit if you come to Ljubljana!

Not to be missed! - The castle dominates the city and is undoubtedly well maintained. It can be reached with a pleasant walk or with a comfortable funicular. One space is dedicated to Slovenian history, another houses a wonderful puppet museum, another exhibitions (we were able to see one by the well-known Slovenian photographer Marjan Ciglic). It is possible to climb to the top of the tower and visit the prison cells. In one room you can experience a wonderful 3D experience that tells the story of the castle, from when it was built to today, suitable for both children and adults. In the courtyards of the castle you can relax sitting at the bar. There is also a restaurant. Multimedia and multilingual supports allow you to fully enjoy your visit. The ticket price is more than honest (12 euros) and certainly much lower than many other museums that I have had the opportunity to visit around Italy and the world.

So much to see and learn! Must visit! - Oh my! Didn’t realise there was so much to see and learn at the castle! Got the vernacular up to the castle and walked down (very steep). There is so much to see and do, the history is amazing and we were there for a good couple of hours and could have easily stayed longer. Great views across the city and something for everyone within the castle. Well worth the money! Staff also very friendly and willing to answer any questions.

Beautiful castle to see plus walk in the park - We took the funicular to go up (try to be among the first to return to have a view of the city on the way up) and we went back down through the park, which was very pleasant. The castle itself is worth seeing, having a coffee on the large esplanade is very nice as long as there are not too many people. Very beautiful view of the city from the top (and from the tower). The puppet museum is worth seeing, it's a curiosity.

A castle worth visiting - The castle that dominates the city can be easily reached in a few minutes using the funicular which has been active for about 20 years. Once you reach the top, you cross the surrounding walls which retain their originality like the tower and begin your visit to this fortress. The projection of a 3D video allows you to relive the history of this fortress over the years accompanied by the legend of the dragon, symbol of the city. Inside it is possible to visit exhibitions and the part of the building once used as prisons. In addition to a bar and a restaurant, there is a wine shop that allows you to taste typical local wines in a unique atmosphere.

Ljubljana Castle - Nice not Great - The castle is nice, not spectacular. It was nice to have the funicular and we learned a bit from the audio tour. Our favorite part was the views from the tower.

Disappointing - It smells a bit like a tourist trap, Ljubljana Castle... at least the way things are organised. After paying for the ticket for the funicular (expensive but still advisable rather than a challenging walk), you also have to pay to visit some rooms of the Castle (additional entrance tickets are required for the others!). It is not a pleasant experience, and for this reason I do not recommend it, also because once you reach the top the view is nothing special.

Horrible - Only one star because you can't give 0. Paid 12 euros to see a room that is as big as the balcony of my house with 4 broken plates. Everything completely new, it seems 110% redone. I would be willing to buy the castle to demolish it and make a parking lot To never again

Fraud - With zero transparency, they charge a ticket for the funicular and visit to the museum that visits is not for nothing. It just gives access to a horrendous puppet show, without any explanation. After seeing Miramare Castle the day before, this was a real disappointment
