Livingstone - Upon arriving at Harry Mwanga Nkumbula International Airport in Livingstone, guests will be warmly welcomed and transferred to Maramba River Lodge, beautifully situated along the Maramba River’s banks. The first day is dedicated to relaxation after the journey, providing time to settle into the accommodation and enjoy the lodge’s serene surroundings. There are no scheduled activities for the day, allowing guests to unwind, explore the lodge grounds at their leisure, or simply enjoy the natural beauty and sounds of the river. In the evening, guests may choose to dine at the lodge’s restaurant at their own expense, bringing the first day in Zambia to a peaceful and comfortable conclusion.

Kafue National Park - After breakfast, guests will pack their luggage and embark on a scenic drive to the central region of Kafue National Park, one of Zambia’s largest and most diverse wildlife reserves. Upon arrival, they will set up camp at Mayukuyuku Campsite, located along the tranquil Kafue River, where the sounds of nature and flowing water provide a serene introduction to the park. No activities are scheduled on the day of arrival, giving guests the chance to relax, settle into their surroundings, and enjoy the unique atmosphere of this remote wilderness. Starting the next day, guests will experience two guided game drives—one in the morning and one in the afternoon—designed to immerse them fully in Kafue’s rich biodiversity. All meals are provided, allowing guests to focus entirely on the adventure ahead.

Morning and Afternoon Game Drive

Kafue National Park - Exploration continues with morning and afternoon game drives, offering another full day to discover the central part of Kafue National Park. Early morning is the perfect time to spot wildlife as the park comes alive with activity, from grazing herbivores to the predators that watch from the bush. After returning to camp for a meal and some rest, the afternoon game drive provides a different perspective of the park, as the changing light and cooler temperatures bring out new animal behaviors and scenery. These guided drives allow guests to witness Kafue’s abundant wildlife up close, while the tranquil riverside campsite offers a comfortable base to relax between adventures. All meals are included, ensuring guests are well-nourished and ready to enjoy every moment of their safari experience.

Transfer from Mayukuyuku to New Kalala

Kafue National Park - After breakfast, guests will pack their luggage and begin the transfer from Mayukuyuku to New Kalala in the southern part of Kafue National Park. En route, they will enjoy a game drive through the park, offering one last opportunity to spot wildlife in the central region. The morning drive allows guests to observe animals as they are most active, while the scenic journey takes them through diverse landscapes, from open plains to riverine areas. Upon arrival at New Kalala Campsite along Itezhi-Tezhi Dam, guests will settle in and relax, ready for the next days of guided morning and afternoon game drives. All meals are included.

Kafue National Park - Guests will enjoy a full day of morning and afternoon game drives, immersing themselves in the incredible wildlife and landscapes of the southern park. The morning drive begins at sunrise, when the animals are most active, offering excellent opportunities to spot elephants, lions, antelopes, and a variety of bird species in their natural habitats. The fresh morning air and soft light create perfect conditions for photography and wildlife observation. After returning to camp for a break and a meal, guests will set out again in the afternoon, as the park takes on a different character under the warm glow of the setting sun. During this drive, they may encounter different wildlife behaviors and enjoy the striking scenery of the Itezhi-Tezhi Dam and surrounding plains.

Transfer to Lusaka

Lusaka - After breakfast, guests will pack their luggage and begin the drive to Lusaka, Zambia’s vibrant capital city, where they will be accommodated at Pioneer Lodge. Along the way, they will travel through scenic countryside, observing the changing landscapes as they leave the wilderness behind. Upon arrival in Lusaka, there will be a stop to stock up on groceries and essentials, preparing for the next stage of their journey. This day is at leisure, with no scheduled activities, giving guests time to relax, unwind, and enjoy the comfortable surroundings of the lodge. Lunch will be provided, while dinner is at their own expense in the lodge’s restaurant, allowing them to sample local or international cuisine at their convenience. This restful stop offers a perfect pause before the final leg of their Zambian adventure.
