• Doolin - Stop for Lunch

As a designated Geopark Geosite, the pier attracts geologists due to the surrounding limestone, which is among the youngest in the Burren and rich with fossils. On a freshly broken rock surface, you’ll see sparkles as light reflects off the calcite crystals that form the stalks of these sea creatures.

Doolin Cave, or Pól an Ionáin, features the Great Stalactite, the largest free-hanging stalactite in Europe and the third largest in the world. Step back over 350 million years on a fully guided tour 200 feet beneath the karst Burren landscape.
