Conceived as the core artery during the city’s growth in the late 19th-century, it rapidly transformed into a high-end residential and entertainment zone as well as the verdant path leading towards the initiation of the Edward VII Park, the city center’s biggest park. As of today, the area encompassing Liberty Avenue houses the greatest density of boutique shops, luxury hotels, and big corporation offices. Yet, it’s intriguingly also one of the least recognized and familiar regions of Portugal’s capital.
