Must do day trip from Lisbon - If you’re visiting Lisbon, pena palace is a must! What a spectacular work of art and the history behind it. We also explored other places that were all different from each other in their own special way. Sintra had beautiful palaces and castles, Cascáis , a charming little coastal town and Cabo da Roca had a beautiful dramatic landscape. Our guide, Ibam Pedro was very knowledgeable and friendly and provided good recommendations.

Very fun tour, and it was... - Very fun tour, and it was a nice small group (only one pair of people aside from the two of us) so we could be very flexible to adjust the time in each place and it was easy to move along the group. Our guide was very knowledgeable and interesting, and passionate about ensuring we all had a great time. Each stop was uniquely enjoyable. Very worth it and I'd recommend anyone try this tour as well! Be prepared for a moderate amount of walking, including uphill and stairs. Much of the tour is outside, so be prepared for the weather as well.

great day trip - We had an amazing time on this trip. Guide very knowledgeable, friendly and accommodating. He had so much love for Portugal and its history which made our experience. It is a nice mix of sights, guided tour and time on our own to explore. Lovely beach resort of cascais and palace amazing. Wine talk at winery interesting Thanks for great day

Wonderful Day - Great way to see several coastal sites in a day. Our fabulous guide wisely took us to the palace at Sintra before it became really crowded. Time at other locations was enough to get a good taste of places and help us determine which one we want to spend more time in.

Excellent Day Trip - Excellent Day trip. Gus took us to several places, giving us historical overview along the way and sharing his experiences in Lisbon. He gave us a tour through the grounds and around Pena Palace and then took us to the other stops and with some recommendations, gave free time to explore. The winery is also fabulous and the owners so passionate about what they’re doing!

Lisbon experience in 8 hours. - This intimate group tour is amazing and our tour guide Gus is very knowledgeable. We had fun. We only hope the weather in Pena Palace was not foggy.

Fantastic Small Group Zour - What a beautiful day exploring Sintra, Palácio da Pena, the Colares Wine Tour, and Cascais! Every detail was handled with care. Living Tours was conveniently within walking distance from our hotel, and the transportation to and from the tours was impeccable,clean, comfortable, and punctual.
However, what truly made the experience unforgettable was our guide, Dyego. He was knowledgeable, funny, and had a wonderful way of bringing the whole group together. By the end of the day, it felt like we were exploring with a friend. He recommended a fantastic lunch spot in Cascais, and even made sure to drop us off near our hotel at the end of the tour.
Dyego struck the perfect balance between sharing interesting historical insights and giving us time to explore on our own. I highly recommend this tour,and a huge thank you to Dyego for such a memorable full-day experience!

Day well spent… - Spent a long day with Mario touring Sintra, Cascais, a coop winery in Colares, and Cabo da Roca. Mario had interesting stories and historical facts aplenty, even as we made our way out of Lisbon. He gave us a lot of details about Pena Palace that we would have easily skipped over. His recommendation for lunch and pastries in Sintra were spot on (fyi go to Piriquita). Then our slow roll through the coast, wine tasting in a magnificent facility in Colares, and quick bite in Cascais were a great way to end the day. Highly recommend spending the day with him. Oh, and tipping is accepted. He won’t say it but I just did. A’ nossa!

An excursion to Sintra with the best guide we have had on all our trips - We recommend the excursion with Pedro Franco to Sintra, Cascais, as well as wine tasting and other emblematic places en route. We are a group of four friends who went on a getaway to Lisbon and had the opportunity to take this tour with Living tours and with your guide Pedro Franco. A professional guide, passionate about his work and proud of his country, who was able to convey the value of history, architecture, landscape and people from all the places we were visiting. We were able to appreciate the excursion much more thanks to the anecdotes, stories and legends he told us throughout the day. It was an unforgettable day that made us fall even more in love with all the attractions of Portugal. When we return, we will certainly count on him to continue showing us corners of this charming country with the passion and fun that Pedro knows how to transmit. Thank you for so many moments!
