Best day tour from Lisbon - This is a must see for anyone with an extra day in Lisbon. From start to finish this tour was well organized, informative and interesting. Checkin and transportation went well and were efficient. We truly were broken into small groups of 8 or less people per tour. The places visited, Sintra and Casciais were very beautiful. The guided tour of the palace was informative and beautiful, Time given in the city of Sintra was perfectly timed and gave us ample time to explore and have lunch. We stopped along the way to Cascais at the western most tip of mainland Europe for pictures and then wrapped up our tour with a couple hour stop in Cascais, a beautiful waterfront community where we explored and had a bite to eat. The drive back to Lisbon was via the coastal road which was a beautiful drive in itself. I could not have asked for a better day and really enjoyed this tour

Beautiful & educational small group experience - What made this trip especially rewarding was our incredible guide, Ines. Her depth of knowledge was remarkable. She explained not only the history of the places we were seeing but also the personal and political history of the era. It is very fortunate for both the people of Portugal, and visitors like us, that Sintra was made an UNESCO World Heritage site in 1995. As we walked up the very steep hill to the Pena palace (a bus ride is offered), Ines pointed out various aspects of the beautiful garden surrounding it which was created by Ferdinand II and gave us a detailed look at all we saw in the palace. Here and all the other sites we visited we were given ample time to take photos. In the village of Sintra she encouraged us to snack on pasteis de nata (no encouragement needed)! Her driving skills were amazing as we drove down very steep and narrow roads to the cliffs of Roca Cape. As we drove toward Cascais one could see why this is called the Portuguese Riviera. Beautiful beaches and very expensive houses. This is where we stopped for lunch and took her advice on where to eat. Overall we highly recommend this guided tour. Even though there were numerous people at the meeting place, we were broken up into groups of eight with individual guides and vehicles.

Sintra, Pena Palace and Cascais - The Pena Palace was a great experience! A bit of a walk up the hill the get there after the trip from Lisbon but well worth it. There were crowds but Antonio (Tony) got us into the palace in the first group so we didn't feel rushed. he stopped as appropriate going up and down the hill so that no-one was pushed out of their element We also had ample time in the town itself to explore and have one of the local pastries and coffee. The drive to Cascais afterwards was an interesting one with several good views along the way. We were also provided with enough time in Cascais to have a late lunch and stroll the streets. Throughout Tony filled us in with historical as well other interesting information and was overall a terrific guide, narrator and driver making our day that much fuller. I would recommend skipping the nation Palace of Sintra and focusing on the Pena palace as it has so uch more to offer.

So friendly, so knowledgeable. He was entertaining, he was informative, patient and so kind. Our day exceeded our expectations. I say, join the big family and do this tour with Felipe!
