Stunning views and great tour! - A fantastic rock climbing tour. It had stunning views and exciting rappelling and climbing for all skill levels, even beginners. The instructor was patient and made sure I felt safe.

Beautiful, off-trail, exhilarating! - Scrambling through the cliffs and trees was fantastic on its own, but it was the guide who really made the experience what it was. He was super engaging and energetic the whole trip. Stunning secret views that overlook the sea, delicious food, great conversation. 100% would recommend

The perfect half-day adventure - A very good adventure, very well accompanied! We left Lisbon with our guide Joâo aka The Man in the Hat in his Beyond Adenture truck. 1 hour drive with good music and explanations about the region. Arriving on site we equip ourselves with new equipment to set off into the “canyon”. Adventure in the forest and climbing on the cliffs, incredible. After the first climbs, we continue our way to arrive at a rock worthy of the Lion King to enjoy the view and have a small Snack with Drinks. After that, walk in the jungle and rocks, climb. Finally we go to the beach to eat local products with our feet in the sand and always with the little music that goes well. In short, we loved our adventure and we recommend it to you. Good adventure !

Day between canyons, unexplored forest and sea - Perfect day for those who want to live a different experience than usual and love to completely immerse themselves in almost unexplored nature. Joao, the guide, is a fantastic person, very funny and thanks to his knowledge he allowed us to learn many curiosities about the place and Portuguese traditions. The day was divided between a part of walking on a small and at times non-existent path completely immersed in the vegetation and a part of climbing on the walls of a canyon (for me it was the first time but I was given all the knowledge necessary to experience this experience at its best), ending on the beach where we had lunch by the sea. Super recommended experience

Great nature climbing and local culture experience! Can strongly recommend - Did this tour together with my colleagues as part of an off-site and it was great. Joao brings amazing energy and everything was very well planned and catered for. We got to experience fantastic nature, local food, cultural insight and super supportive climbing experience that felt very safe and professional. Joao was super easy to communicate with and very accommodating. His college was also great. Can strongly recommend Beyond Adventures!

One of the Best Tours Ever - I had a perfect day on the Adventure Trail Climbing Experience. João is the best guide and showed me some of the most beautiful rock formations and views I've ever seen while ensuring everyone was comfortable and having fun. I have some climbing experience, but this tour is also great for people without it. João told me he had a 5-year-old on the tour a few weeks before! The food and drinks were fresh and delicious; such great treats to have along the way! The tour is an insanely good price, and I was shocked that I was able to be squeezed in on such short notice.

The best day! - We are a family of four (son 10 and daughter 7) who have never rock climbed but wanted an adventure while visiting Lisbon. João and Miguel were amazing with the kids and taking them through everything. Our son was up for trying anything needing little encouragement and having little fear. Our daughter was a little scared at some points but with João and Miguel’s encouragement and their patience she was willing to try everything from rappelling, to climbing, to hiking over big boulders and even walking along a the side of the mountain while tied into a rope walk. This trip is definitely an adventure and unlike anything we’ve done before. We loved every minute of it! The food was also great. The prepared lunch was delicious - one of our favorite meals - and even our picky eater children enjoyed it. And the home made grape juice and chorizo after the tour were probably the best of both we’ve ever had. We enjoyed the a quick dip in the ocean after our rock climbing. We brought swimsuits with us and were able to change in the bathroom on site at the beach. We didn’t spend too much time at the beach and the water was very cold but it was a picturesque beach and the views on the drive back to the Beyond Adventures headquarters were gorgeous. This was definitely one of the most memorable parts of our trip to Portugal and I can’t recommend these two as tour guides enough!

OMG our family LOVED this day!! - We absolutely loved our day with João and Miguel. They were so friendly - lots of corny jokes for the kids - and took great care of us! We have never rock climbed before but thought it would be a fun adventure for us and they were great at explaining everything and making sure we felt comfortable. We had a 10 year old and 7 year old with us. Our 10 year old was up for anything and did amazing. He led the way with João for most of the day and was willing to do just about anything. Our 7 year old was definitely a little more nervous but they talked her through everything and even climbed up alongside her and helped her climb at times when she struggled. At the end, she said she felt really proud of herself for overcoming her fears and all that she accomplished. We climbed rocks, repelled down rocks, hiked, climbed ladders and cliff walked while being tied into/holding a rope. It's definitely not for the meek but as a family who had never done anything like this before it was such a thrill and so fun! We loved the trip to the beach after as well. The water was cold and refreshing after all the hiking and physical activity. We had packed a bag with bathing suits and were able to change at the bathroom on the beach. The lunch provided was delicious and even my typical American picky eater children were able to fill their bellies. Our guides were what made the trip what it was. They knew the area, knew how to talk us through everything and were excellent hosts. It was a nice break from all the city touring, which our kids enjoy, but let's be honest, they do have a limit on how much they can handle before being bored. This is definitely a tour worth doing if want a little activity/adventure during your vacation. PS and the homemade grape juice is DIVINE. I know that sounds crazy but it really was so so so good - especially back at the headquarters with the frozen fruit in it - it was like a smoothie and delicious.

Feel the Lisbon nature !! - I had awesome moments tracking mountains and have a first experience rock climbing in natural setting. All were prepared well and I feel safe for all activity. It’s for all season, but best activity to do in winter season ( best temperatures:) ) you will see amazing mountains ocean view !
