A fabulous day with an excellent guide. - João was a wonderful guide. He was open to any suggestions from us, but being first-timers, we were very happy to go with his suggestions. We were captivated by the standing stones in the midst of a cork oak forest, as well as the sites of Évora. . The day was relaxed and leisurely, but we felt we had seen all we wanted to, and even a special - another little hilltop castle. Would recommend this tour for people interested in history, art and architecture, and a glimpse of life outside Lisbon.

Fabulous - It rain some in Evora, but we enjoyed the area. Our guide Diego was great and even let us join him for lunch. We only got 5 minutes at Almendres Cromlech. They closed the site for repairs. We do feel grateful for our 5 minutes. The Chapel of Bones was quite a site.

We had a wonderful tour, learned so much from Diogo about Evora, Almendres Cromlech, Megalith, Cork industry, and Portugal in general. He is the best guide we had in Portugal -- provided detail information and insights that helped us made the most of the experience. Acorn cookies were yummy, thanks to Diogo for the treat!

Évora Comes Alive with Diogo at the Wheel - Diogo told us right off that he likes to talk. He lived up to his words. We learned about the political history of Portugal and the ruling reigns going back centuries. He expertly pointed out important details on historic buildings in Évora. Diogo’s jovial personality and excitement about history made for an illuminating and entertaining day.

Cancellation unacceptable - Our trip was canceled one and a half hours before departure because the tour guide got sick. Cancellation is unacceptable as there should be back up tour guides. We could not find an alternative trip and wasted one day.
