- Tv. da Memória 47A - This art class is a time to explore and be in touch with different materials and let your creativity flow. There is no need for prior knowledge of painting, being suitable for beginners or more experienced.
The class takes place in an Art Gallery where Cristina’s studio is also located. Here, you can also be in contact with the work of other artists that are on display at the gallery.
What will we do?
In the first hour, the essential basics that the guest needs to know to build a strong aesthetic look will be explained: color theory, value, composition and layering. We will do some exercises to relax and prepare for the final work.
Then we will work on Fabriano paper or stretched canvas 30x40cm. I’ll show you how to mix paints and choose a color palette. We will paint with brushes, colored pencils and use materials that allow us to test different textures.
All stages of the production of the painting are accompanied by me, Cristina.
At the end of the class, the guest will take his finished and signed canvas with him as a souvenir of this experience together with the certificate of authenticity of his work issued by the Gallery.

Our setting, a hybrid of a gallery and an artist’s studio, offers a unique experience for those interested to get a glimpse of the studio processes as well as the exhibition and sale of final pieces in the gallery. Cristina, an architect by profession, explores various themes in her artistic work, but drawings and paintings of Lisbon form one of her primary focuses. Several of her works can be seen in various public spaces.
