Oceanário de Lisboa - Visiting the Oceanário de Lisboa offers a remarkable experience, allowing guests to explore and feel the enchanting magic of the underwater realm. Embark on this reflective journey to encounter 8,000 marine creatures from 500 diverse species.
The permanent exhibition (Aquarium) honors life on Earth with a central 5-million-liter saltwater aquarium, encircled by four marine habitats that represent the North Atlantic, Antarctic, Temperate Pacific, and Tropical Indian Ocean. This design creates the illusion of viewing a single aquarium and ocean. The tour spans two levels, both terrestrial and underwater, traversing the temperate, tropical, and cold waters of the planet’s various oceans.
Additionally, explore the “Forests Underwater,” a masterpiece by Takashi Amano, showcasing tropical forests through the world’s largest nature aquarium, and the new “Submerged Universe” exhibition, an immersive journey into the vastness of the ocean.

Lisbon Oceanarium - The Lisbon Oceanarium is truly impressive – it’s huge and home to a wide variety of fish and marine creatures. Each aquarium is accompanied by clear explanations about the species inside, which makes the visit both fun and educational. The absolute highlight for us were the playful otters, simply delightful to watch! I’d recommend visiting early in the morning or outside peak season to avoid crowds, and definitely buy tickets online to skip the line. At the end, there’s also a nice gift shop with plenty of souvenirs to take home. Overall, we were very satisfied with the experience.

Diving in the ocean - Very good family experiences for both adults and children to see and discover the species and animals of the marine world in a very large aquarium.

A magical tour that takes you under the ocean - This visit wasn’t really planned in my program (29€ anyway the entrance!) but I had no regrets about adding it. I really enjoyed the explanations and being able to observe marine life. So, yes there were people, but frankly if you love nature and discover biodiversity, I recommend it without problem. Taking my time (3 hours), I was able to quietly observe sharks, rays, fish, anemones, octopuses, and otters in other.

Definitely recommended - I really enjoyed it. Maybe I expected less reading the reviews, but in reality the experience was suggestive and almost magical. I've seen species I've never seen and really interesting. I don't write more so as not to "ruin" the visit, but definitely recommend it. Correct price.

“A good place to visit, but check if all areas are open to visitors.” - The Oceanário is very beautiful. This was my second time there. I went specifically to see the penguin area, which unfortunately was under maintenance. I believe that during high season, the Oceanário should inform visitors in advance if certain areas are closed, especially when people might be going specifically to see those exhibits. Alternatively, they could offer a discount on admission when parts of the space are undergoing maintenance. Inside, some of the hallways were extremely hot — perhaps due to the warm weather and the large number of visitors. They should take more care with ventilation, as it can become a bit claustrophobic.

It's ok, have been to a lot better - Was really looking forward to this....sadly it was ok...but that was about it really.
Viewing areas quite narrow, especially for high season....to many people in to small an area. Literally ambled round and done it in just over an hour. Big area, space could have been used far better.
Lacks much else around it as well, as it's a working part of Lisbon

Average - We were quite disappointed with the ocenario. If you have already visited other aquariums, this one falls off quite a bit. The Gift Shop is very nice and the adjoining place is also, with nice outdoor seating and delicious ice cream.

Don’t visit in August - too crowded - I don’t recommend to visit The Oceanarium in August. Probably better to visit off season.
We went on Monday 11th of August and the whole place was far too crowded. The corridors were packed with visitors and you could hardly see anything. The venue sold too many tickets for the same day/time which resulted in long queues everywhere. Only in front of the tanks that they were cleaning it wasn’t busy. Therefor we didn’t stay long and left. It was a very disappointing experience.
