We’ll pass by Rossio Station that connects the city to the region of Sintra.

  • Convento do Carmo - We will visit the exterior of this place for a few minutes, where we will learn about the architectural history of the site and all its details.

Here too, we will visit the popular Santa Justa elevator.

(Optional) 5€ Entry to Convento do Carmo not included.

  • Miradouro Sao Pedro de Alcantara - We will visit this place with an incredible view of Lisbon, right in front of the Castle of São Jorge.

From this hill, we will also have the opposite perspective to the viewpoint of Our Lady of the Mount, which we will visit later.

  • Parque Eduardo VII - This is one of the most famous and beautiful parks in Lisbon. You will have a new perspective on the city.

We’ll also pass by the most important roundabout in Lisbon, the Marquês de Pombal roundabout.

  • Se de Lisboa - The oldest church in the city. This is one of the most visited places in Lisbon.

Here we will have time to take some photos and learn about the history of the place.

  • Alfama - This is one of the oldest neighborhoods in Lisbon, where the traditional music of Portugal, Fado, is born and maintained. You will be able to visit the old houses that survived the terrible earthquake of 1755. This is one of the popular places in Lisbon, where the feast of Santo Antonio is celebrated in the month of June.
  • Panteao Nacional - National Pantheon
Considered the Portugal’s first baroque monument, and its interior is inspired by St. Peter’s Basilica in Rome, and made up of colored marble.

It was the Church of Saint Engratia when it was built in 1682, but became the National Pantheon in 1916. Its large dome was only completed in 1966, making it the monument that took the longest to complete in all of Portugal.

  • Miradouro da Senhora do Monte - The Miradouro da Senhora do Monte is one of Lisbon’s most important landmarks. It is also one of the quietest and least sought after viewpoints in the city, despite having an exceptional panoramic view. A few meters from the viewpoint of Graça, its stage format is a privileged audience to observe the capital. On your left you will find the church of Graça and the castle of São Jorge, imposing and majestic, as the guardian of the city.

In the background the sea of straw and the estuary of the Tagus shine and illuminate the roofs of the Baixa and the ruins in Carmo.

All this in the space where the first King of Portugal, D. Afonso Henriques installed the camp for the conquest of Lisbon in 1147.

  • Mosteiro de Sao Vicente de Fora - We will visit the incredible building of the Monastery of Saint Vincent Outside the Walls.

During the siege of Lisbon, in 1147, D. Afonso Henriques made a promise: if he succeeded in conquering the city, he would commission the construction of a monastery dedicated to Saint Vincent, a highly worshipped Saint among the Mozarabs. This monastery was founded in the same year “outside” of the city walls, thus justifying the building’s toponymy.

  • Miradouro de Santa Luzia - Santa Luzia Viewpoint

It is undoubtedly one of the most beautiful viewpoints in Lisbon. To this contribute the trams that pass and make the bells ring; the magnificent decorative tile panels; One shows what was the Praça do Comercio before the earthquake of 1755 and the other shows how was the battle to retake the city in 1147 between the Cristians and the Moors.

  • Miradouro das Portas do Sol - Portas do Sol viewpoint

This viewpoint is essentially one huge balcony above the ancient Alfama neighborhood. Its panoramic view has illustrated countless postcards, showing what looks like a colorful Mediterranean village cascading down to the waterfront. It’s a mandatory stop for anyone who wants to take the best photos of old Lisbon, with the towers of the Monastery of St. Vincent and the dome of the National Pantheon standing out in the skyline.
