R. Francisco Tomás da Costa 28 - LisboaLove Fado is the ultimate event to live and feel Portuguese Lisboa’s traditional music.
Starting at 5PM on Friday’s and Tuesday’s. I’ll share some of our traditions and culture and a brief introduction to the history of Fado, to set the mood for our evening.
The LisboaLove Fado takes place on an exclusive venue. We’re doing it in my apartment!
Please notice that pictures are from previous venues. I’ll add new ones once I get them :)
It’s a personal full experience only for the guests who book it, not joining a Fado Restaurant with others.
This will be followed by a 40-minute tribute concert to Amália Rodrigues, Portugal’s most famous and well-loved Fado singer. I will add some commentary during the concert to explain the essence and meaning of Amalia’s Fado and why it is such a huge part of the Portuguese soul and culture.
Since it is afternoon you may have walked a lot in our hilly city already, so we’ll serve a snack of traditional petiscos. There’s no Fado without some wine and olives too.
But don’t worry - I’m not singing :)

As a lifelong resident of lovely Lisboa and a fervent admirer of Fado, I’ve had the privilege of experiencing a multitude of Fado locations, interacting with an impressive array of vocalists and instrumentalists. My passion lies in my city and its endemic Fado. I’ve developed this particular experience to disseminate my comprehension of conventional Portuguese tunes and confer to my attendees an indelible evening.
In April 2018, I initiated the top-rated walk in Lisboa (on a different platform), meeting countless international guests since then. The frequent query I encounter is where guests can witness traditional Fado, which propelled my drive to build this endeavor.

An intimate concert with fun, food, and new friends - I 100% recommend that anyone coming to Lisbon signs up for this experience. Humberto provides a fun and intimate setting to learn the history of fado, enjoy a private (and terrific) fado concert, and get to know other travelers over drinks and food. The experience exceeded any expectations I had. Humberto was friendly and knowledgeable, and created a terrific atmosphere. The musicians were among the best I heard throughout my time in Lisbon. Don't miss out on this experience!

wonderful experience - Humberto is a super friendly, passionate expert on fado who leads a fantastic experience! It seems extremely authentic and uncommercial, and really is aimed at getting the group to be as crazy about fado as he is! The musicians and singer were wonderful and really top quality, in an intimate setting with lovely snacks and atmosphere---would absolutely recommend this to anyone who wants to learn about fado, or is interested in a jumping off point to explore more on their own!

Ultimate Fado Experience - This educational and highly entertaining event is a must do! It was, by far, our best night in Lisbon. Humberto made the group comfortable, provided history and background to understand Fado, and provided excellent wine and a great sense of community to all in attendance. The musical performance was spectacular! Filipa’s voice is stunning and the guitarists were awesome. Who knew…we came away in love with Fado. This is a must do to understand Fado and have a relaxing and intimate small group gathering. Humberto is the best!!!

Best of Lisboa - Humberto is a gem. His cultural knowledge and passion for his city and its treasures are something every visitor of Lisbon needs to experience. I’d take this tour again... the musicians and the food are also top notch.
Also, this is a good tour for people who want to experience fado but can’t necessarily walk a lot or stay out late at the fado bars of Alfama.

Best Fado experience in Lisbon! - The Fado experience hosted by Humberto is wonderful. It gets really emotional as you deep dive into the Fado's history and experience top musicians playing it with their heart and souls.
We had the privilege to join the Fado experience with our family, and on top of the music and history, we got to know other participants and create a very good connection with them, with the musicians and with Humberto, our event host. Also, the tapas and wines served were excellent! :)

Authentic cultural and musical experience from a front row in magical Alfama! - We were a group of four visiting from Chicago and attended this event in last week of December 2019.
There were twenty other attendees besides us at this event. This event was very well organized and precisely executed by the host Humberto. The show is a balanced mix of Music, culture and history.The host went above and beyond in paying personal attention in making us all welcome and entertained with a unique blend information and humor.
I am an artist and I really appreciated watching Fado in this unique setting with amazingly talented artists. The host, explained the brief meaning of each Fado composition enabling us to enjoy it more.
I would definitely recommend this event to anyone who is interested in a genuine Fado experience with a quick cultural interaction with lovely Portuguese folks.

FADO@Alfama - Humberto is charismatic and well educated on the topic of Fado. He shared his personal experiences as well as interesting history of Fado. We were impressed that he welcomed each guess by name. The performance was outstanding and we share wine, cheese, olives, bread and Portuguese chorizo personally flamed by Humberto in front of us. It was quite impressive. We were fortunate enough to make friendship with other guess as well with Humberto himself. We highly recommend this experience to anyone visiting Lisbon.

Highlight of Our Trip - This was our first trip to Portugal and my family and I knew nothing about Fado music except that it was Portuguese. The music was truly beautiful and our host was very knowledgeable but the best part was talking with the musician after the performance.

リスボンでの最高の一夜 Great Fado experience - リスボンでの最高の一夜となりました。通常Fadoレストランでのパフォーマンスは9時半からとか遅い時間が多いですが、こちらのFadoは早い時間から始まるのでディナーの前に参加することも可能です（ただ、軽食がいただけるのでディナーは不要でした）。こじんまりとした場所での開催なので演奏者の方々はなんと目の前。シンガーの方の表情からギターのテクニックまで熱意がそのまま伝わってきます。さらには、終了後にワインや軽食がふるまわれ、演奏者の方々とお話ができた点が個人的にはすごく良かったです。ホストのHumbertoさんはとても気さくで皆が参加できるようにすごく気を使ってくださり、英語も分かりやすくナイス。おすすめです！
It was just so wonderful. Very memorable experience that we want to thank the singer Joana Rios, the guitarists (who can also sing) and Humberto, the host. Great performance in a very intimate setting is one thing, what was so unique was that we had an opportunity to chat with the performers and other guests over wine and light meal after the show. A must do in Lisbon.
