Additional Information
Embark on a 9-hour group journey through the central-west region of Portugal, from Lisbon. This tour, limited to 8 participants, will be conducted solely in English. Your first destination is Fatima, a significant Catholic religious site receiving over 6 million visitors annually. Later, you’ll explore Nazare, a coastal city famed globally for its massive surf waves. There, you’ll enjoy a break, letting you savor traditional Portuguese cuisine. Your final stop is the historic village of Obidos, nestled within a castle’s walls. Its narrow, cobblestone pathways and homes adorned with flowers resemble a scene from a fairytale. Here, you will also have the opportunity to sample a renowned cherry liqueur, served in a chocolate cup, known as ginja.

Interesting and insightful - Great day out. We covered a lot in one day, & that did mean everything was a bit rushed. Fátima was very interesting - great to learn the history. Nazaré, by the time we had lunch (took 90 mins), there was no time to look around or go into the church. Óbidos was such a cute, well maintained medieval village. Had enough time here to wander around & check it out.

Great day out - I really wanted to go to Nazare and Obidos. A small group tour seemed more practical than trying to get to these places by public transport. While personally I could have done with less time at Fatima, I understand that a balance needs to be struck for all participants. The weather was stunning and the views around Nazare beautiful. Obidos was a quaint old town within castle walls.
Our guide Carolina was very knowledgeable and passionate about Portugal.
I highly recommend Lisbon Riders' tours.

Great excursion to Fatima and beyond - Manuel was our driver/guide. He was very kind and caring. My husband has mobility issues and he spent extra time to ensure my husband was okay throughout the day. He was an excellent driver and very knowledgeable about the places we visited. He had many funny stories to keep us entertained. Visiting Fatima was a truly a wonderful experience. For lunch we enjoyed tasty fresh seafood at a restaurant recommended by our guide. All the places we visited were interesting and worth going to. Although it was a long day we never felt rushed. We also had lovely fellow passengers on this full day excursion which definitely enhanced our experience. Thank you Manuel😃

His education in archeology and history were key factors, augmented by his language skills and personality, made this tour a special experience for my spouse and I. The time spent at each town was appropriate for visiting the significant sites, to include sufficient time for lunch in Nazare and shopping for gifts. Wonderful tour with an awesome guide - My friend and I wanted to see countryside, and this trip to Fátima, Nazaré and Óbidos seamed exciting, especially as it includes world-known waves at Nazaré lighthouse.
To me, this tour comprises historical, cultural and natural beauty of Portugal, inkl. homemade ginja -:)
Our guide Ricardo is truly knowledgeable and inspiring, when he tells stories about the places we visited. He patiently answered everything we asked about. He is friendly and makes sure that everybody is included, feels cosy and enjoys the travel.
Ricardo also shared with us the best places in Lissabon one can buy traditional pastry and ginja.
We've seen a lot, and had fun.

Carolina was a wonderful tour guide. Each stop exceeded my expectations. Beautiful! - Very flexible and knowledgeable tour guide (I hope I have the name almost correct- Carolina). Fatima and the story behind it was very interesting. Nazare story, chapel, waves, castle, lunch - all wonderful. Obidos was very nice. Loved the cherry chocolate treat. Would have spent more time shopping, although definitely didn't need to. Highly recommend this tour.

Fantastic three city tour of Fatima, Nazare, and Obidos! - Our guide, Carolina, was the best we’ve ever had. Very knowledgeable, giving us great information the entire trip. She was very engaged, knew us all by name and made the entire experience super enjoyable! We have taken a lot of tours, and she is the best!
