If you’re going to be in Lisbon, this the guide you want - Wonderful day with Philip, despite starting out with rainy conditions, he quickly adjusted the tour to make sure we saw the remarkable sights of Lisbon in a day. The weather cleared and we were treated to a guide who shared history and knowledge with us in a way that was enjoyable for those 16-60. He was the best part of our trip by far, and the guide to really orient us to the area so we could enjoy it more.

Great Tour - This was a really fun tour with our guide Anna. We did the tour on our first full day in Lisbon and by the time the day was over, we had a pretty good feel for the city. Anna gave us a lot of tips on other things to do later in our trip. Highlights for me were the Belem tower and the monument to the explorers in Belem (plus the visit to the pastry shop for Pasties of Belem). Anna gave a great history of Portugese exploration. Also enjoyed the church at Santo Domingo. Great way to start a visit in Lisbon.

Fab tour and tour guide! - My friend and I booked a three day private tour of Lisbon and the surrounding towns months before our trip and Filipe stayed in touch with us, giving us tips and options for the tour. Filipe arrived on time and with a sunny smile on our first day. We spent a full day visiting historic sites in the city, starting with the Belem tower, the Discoveries monument, Jeronimos and sampling the famous Pastel de Belem! We continued to go around the city while Filipe gave us a detailed history of Portugal and the significance of particular places in Lisbon. We also learned about Portuguese culture and cuisine. Our first day was very interesting and fun and definitely gave us something to look forward to for the rest of the trip. i would highly recommend this tour and our awesome tour guide, Filipe!

Amazing city (Lisbon), tour and tour guide! - This was my first trip to Portugal and prior to visiting Lisbon, I sprained my ankle in Porto. So I was a little bit anxious about the next few days in Lisbon. My friend and I were picked up by Filipe on time. I had messaged him about my ankle two days before and he had researched every possible thing I would need from wheelchair rental to adjusting our route a bit so I can minimize the walking. He is extremely knowledgeable and if you want a crash course of the history of Lisbon and Portugal, he knows the details by heart. He always provided a brief background from a distance to give you perspective before proceeding closer so we can take photos. He suggested a great place for lunch and also was very proactive in asking for ice for my foot when we can. He was also flexible in stopping in areas where we need to stop at (like Sorbettino, a fabulous gelato place) or the pharmacy to get medicine. He also showed us churches and plazas that we did not even know of. Overall, a wonderful introduction to a fabulous city! Thank you, Filipe!

Belem Tower , etc. tour - Pedro was wonderful! Hotel pickup was exactly on time. Was surprised it was just Pedro and we two. He drove us all over Lisbon. Recommended and took us to a fabulous Portuguese restaurant. Navigated incredibly narrow streets and traffic with ease and patience. Delightful tour.

Pastéis de Belém - Local company that offers excellent and personalised small group and private tours. Especially Ana was very enthusiastic in guiding me around her city. She drove swiftly from one point of interest to the next telling all the historical facts as well as the local customs. At the end of the day I had a better idea of the city of Lisbon which I could than explore more.

Absolutely amazing tour! - I'm so glad that we have chosen the Private Tour around Lisbon by Selection Tours! Me and my husband travel a lot and often take private tours all around the world but this experience with a guide Joao Crespo was probably the best one. There was a lot of interesting information, great tour spots, high-level service and very friendly communication with a guide in general. Highly recommended!
