Great experience w/ combo ticket! - Amazing experience with Yellow Bus in Lisbon! We got the “all-inclusive” package with the two bus tours, red trolley, ferry tour, and access to public trolleys, buses, and metros. Great for three days of seeing Lisbon! The red trolley line is next to the ones for the 28 line, but you really don’t have to wait for the red one, which was wonderful not to stand in the sun! We took one of the public trolley down the hill, lifesaver for tired travelers. All-around great experience!

Good but not perfect - We did two bus tours in one day and a river cruise tour the next. The tour routes were all very good; but the Belem tour, which was our first one, really disappointed us because the audio narration quit working about a third of the way through and didn’t restart until shortly before the tour ended. And this was the more historical tour, which made it more important to me! Yellow Bus really should know how to make it work by now! Everything else went smoothly and we enjoyed the experience; however, they should really provide better instructions for the embarkation point for the boat tour. The dock is part of a pretty big complex and no directions, instructions or map of where to go were provided. In a foreign country where not everyone is proficient in English, this was unduly stressful. Signage at the dock was nonexistent. I think the Yellow Bus management should imagine sending their own grandparents to accomplish the task. Many of us seniors take these tours in order to reduce the stress of travel. Getting to the starting point should not be a challenge

Took both tours, Great value - Great tour of the city. We did both the pink and the blue bus lines. Very interesting. The buses run all the time and there was plenty of room on the bus. Great tour. We didn't have time for the trams or the boat. Great value.

Hop On and Off is a must do - So much to see.Having a two day pass is a must. Take rain gear everyday. The day may start out clear then comes the rain. Unfortunately for me, the water was rather rough, so I didn't do the boat ride. If you start off in center city, make time to spend a few hours there.

Poorly organized.. - The only thing I didn't like is that on the first stop, when we were changing to the Modern (purple) like, they made people waiting on the direct sun for too long, there were more than enough people to fill the bus but they just didn't care and we asked when will it go, they said we don't know.. the bus was just standing there good 25minutes.
The Boat was the best experience.. on the bus, not much to see. The lady selling the tickets on the first stop was rude. We tried to ask some questions from her twice, both time she said wait and ignored us. There was a young man, he was trying to help. It was on 30.09.23

Too much music not enough information - The audio kept cutting out and we missed vital parts of the commentary. It was difficult to find the first bus stop without a map. Once we were able to pick one up on the bus it was better.
Great way to cover a lot of the city!

Gives a good idea of what to see in the city. Tickets can be bought on the bus so no need to book in advance - AS with all hop on, hop off tours these are a good way to get an idea of the city you are visiting and decide where you may want to explore further.
We did this same tour when we visited in April 2023, but did again in September when visiting with family who had not been to Lisbon before.
We used the bus for the whole trip and then the following day to go to Belem, that was fine. But the return journey from Belem not so good. There was no clear indication when a bus would arrive. Per the tracking app it seemed to be stuck at the 25 April bridge. But the red tour buses came through Ok. When the bus did arrive it was standing room only. This was surprising, particularly as it turned out there were two more almost empty yellow buses close behind. Which had we seen we would have waited for those. We were just using it for our return journey, but if you were getting on the bus for the first time, i was very poor. The driver surely must have been aware there were other buses close behind? So not impressed by that.

3 Service tips - A suggestion… 1. Have the driver call out the stops. 2. Give people a chance to get off. 3. Have your staff queu the travelers ( some travelers are very pushy)
Also most of your stops are not shaded. If possible you should look and see if it’s at all possible to move the stop a few meters so we are not waiting in the blistering sun for 20 minutes to board the bus and a good 15-20 minutes in the sun before we start our tour . This of course is the first stop.

Boat portion was disappointing - We sometimes had difficulty finding the bus stops. Also, I expected the river cruise to be more informative. If there was any guide information. There appeared to be some speakers, but they couldn’t be heard from most of the boat.

We sat at each stop for... - We sat at each stop for 45 min at least watching 3 or 4 red buses go by but and not one yellow bus come. We ended up hiring a taxi yo get around . Horrible experience with the yellow bus. I urge people to use the red bus line.
