Pura Vida - Nice day in the land of Pura Vida. Trip was right sized and right length. Guide and driver went out of their way to help us experience what is great about their country. Animal sightings, history and little local touches were what seperated this tour from the44 person ship tour. Oh and the sloths birds and howler monkeys were just as advertised. We have been to Costa Rica five times before and it never disappoints.

Excellent guide for our group of 5 - Excellent tour. Very knowledgeable and informative. So friendly and showed us what Costa Rica is really like. Price is fair and much better than a cruise ship bus trip

An authentic experience! - I took a private tour with Eduardo from Your Lucky Tour through the Tortuguero Canal and Cahuita National Park. It was truly an authentic experience. I was able to view Sloths, Iguanas many types of birds and even Howler monkeys in the wild. It was a beautiful day and I really enjoyed learning about all the different types of plants that grow in Costa Rica. I even enjoyed some of the Costa rican cuisine which was a nice experience. We were on our own time and I never felt rushed yet we had plenty of time to return to the ship. I highly recommend this tour!

Tour of Tortuguero Canals and Cahuita National Park - We were in Puerto Limón on a cruise, but I did not want to take a cruise shore excursion because they often feel overcrowded and rushed. Eduardo offered a guide and a private tour for our family (4 people) and we had a great time exploring Tortuguero Canals and Cahuita National Park. We really wanted to see a sloth, monkeys, and wildlife, and all our wishes came true. 😊 We also had a stop at a local fruit market and got to try local coffee, bananas, etc. Our guide was really nice, the van was very comfortable, we felt safe in a new country, and had plenty of time to explore and get back to the ship well ahead of its departure time. This was our first visit to Costa Rica and I look forward to coming back!

Cahuita national park - Canal tour- fruistand en souvenier shop - Made this tour on march 15 2018. Great tour, guide Stefanie and driver Erik showed us a lot of sloths. Stefanie told us a lot of the bananas, the history of Costa Rica and much more. We had the change to visit a local garden, iT was a great experience. Eduardo was also with us and iT was a pleasure to have him in our car. The Canal tour was also verry Nice, we also saw A crocodille.

Great guide and Eduardo took great care of us. - Our guide was Dee. She was a young lady very passionate about her home. We took a ride of the canal where we saw Sloths, Monkeys, Jesus Christ Lizards and various other birds and animals. After the canal ride, we headed to the rain forest. On the way Dee made sure to point out different land marks or historic places. The Tram in the rain forest was nice but much shorter than expected but our guide was very knowledgeable in letting us know about all of the different animals and trees we came across. We finished our tour by stopping for lunch and an amazing view of the ship at the Red Snapper Italian Restaurant. It was a great conclusion to a wonderful day thanks to Dee and Eduardo.

Best day on our cruise - Ten of us had a fantastic day with Edwardo and his team. He should be a comedian. He’s entertaining and knowledgeable. We saw the rainforest and the canal and the fantastic lunch with an amazing view of the port. I highly recommend this tour operator. Safe and professional.

Small group tour of Puerto Limon off a cruise ship - I contacted Eduardo via the Lucky Tours website regarding a small group tour from our cruise ship. We were given easy directions to follow on where & when to meet our tour guide. Our guide Cooper, driver Eric and Eduardo ensured we had a great day. Before we even made it to the Tortuguero Canal we stopped to view and take photos of two sloths besdie the road. We joined another small group of people on the boat ride on the canal. We saw several sloths, howler monkeys, a caiman, a crocodile, several species of birds and a Basalisk lizard. My husband didn't always have enough time to get photos (with his SLR) as the boat driver turned the boat around fairly quickly. We stopped briefly at a fruit stall and tasted several different fruits. In hindsight we should have bought something to eat at the stall. Our next stop was Cahuita National Park. My DH stopped pretty early on in our walk and sat and enjoyed the breeze coming in off the ocean. We decided it was too hot to walk back via the beach. All the sloths were pretty high up in the trees, howerver we were able to get pretty good views of some of the monkeys, the racoons and the lizards we saw. We bought a bag of fresh pineapple from a stall holder at the entrance to the park as it was almost 2pm. We drove back through town and stopped at a restaurant high up above the town where we had a great view of our ship in port. Our group decided it would be good to have a drink here before returning to the port. We arrived back at the port around 3pm.

7 in One tour - The tour was very nice, very informative. The staff at your lucky tour were great. A good combination of humor and information. We were able to see quite a few sloths, a white face monkey and other wildlife. I would definitely recommend the tour.

Surprisingly the Cruise Ship Tour was Better Than This One - When on cruise ships, I tend to book my tours independently as it gives the money to the local companies and are generally much cheaper. This is the first time in 16 years that it didn't work. My tour was to the Tree of Life Animal Sanctuary and an unguided walk around the Cahuita National Park with Lucky Tours. I was met at the terminal by Eduardo and a lovely driver who was our guide for the day and, as requested, we were among the very first to get off the ship to meet them. By the time we got to the Tree of Life, the cruise ship tour bus arrived at exactly the same time BUT while they had a private tour at 10,00, we had to wait for the public tour at 11.00. One hour was therefore lost in our very short stay in Costa Rica. By the time we finished that tour, we drove to the National Park only to meet the same tour bus gathering to leave the park to the next venue. After our walk around the park, we met up with our driver and headed back to the ship. Comparing notes with those on the tour bus, they clearly had more time to explore the area and amazingly, the tour price was less than my tour! This has never happened before, normally, an independently booked tour is some 20-30% cheaper. Still all in all, the tour was pretty good but losing the first hour meant we could not do much more once it was over. Better co-ordinating would have made it more pleasant.
