Good fun and customer service - It was out first time land sailing. The instructor was nice and friendly, he even took video and photos for us. He was not fluent in English, but it was clear what he was saying to us. But best of all, we only found this activity late at night before our last day in Cyprus and just a few short Facebook messages later we had booked a spot for the next day! Note, that this is an activity you need to "get a feel" for, as it came quite easy to me, but was more difficult for my friend to understand. Overall, a fun thing to try if you've never done it.

Definitely one for children from 8 and up, teenagers and adults - A must try activity, my sons loved it. Excellent instructor, very patient explaining what to do at every step

Peter was patient and... - Peter was patient and helpful. We had a great time learning how to land sail, especially on a day where laying by the pool or swimming at the beach was not an option.

A perfect adventure - I recommend it to anyone who likes to release a bit of adrenaline. Peter gave us a short introduction and off we went. Every now and then he would climb into our cars if someone had problems. The time went by far too quickly. It remains an unforgettable memory.

Go Kart + Sailing = Land Sailing - Do it! - I highly recommend Land Sailing with Peter and his team if you are looking for something new to do or an activity in Limassol. This is great for all ages and very easy to learn and super fun. I would suggest bringing/wearing a sports mask or bandana to cover part of your face because of the dirt. I did the transfer pick up from the mall since it was easier.

Awesomely FUN - This was a totally awesome experience! Fabulous Fun time :) Peter was communicating from time of booking and was friendly and helpful. We were collected by Peter (and returned to) My Mall, as taxis don’t take you to activity destination Peter is a real professional and very knowledgeable - he is explained what to do very simply and clearly. All four of us really enjoyed ourselves - HIGHLY RECOMMEND this experience :)

Most excited and memorable part of our amazing vacation - Totally fun, thrilling unique experience. The guides are AMAZING and explain how to use the equipment on great detail. The whole family ages 10 to 60s had an absolutely blast! These are the kind of memories you want to have on a truly memorable vacation! Definitely go!

Waste of half a day of my holiday - A complete waste of a day. The meeting instructions were vague, to say the least and just said to meet at the harbour. No specific time given. Tried phoning the company to confirm the arrangements but just got voicemail. Sent a WhatsApp message for them to contact me but nobody did. So we made our way to the meeting spot given and there was no sign of anyone. Asking at nearby businesses, nobody had ever seen them. The instructions also mentioned having to get to the end of Lady’s Mile Road, so we took a taxi, which dropped us at the top (the information mentioned that taxis don’t go any further as it is an unmade road) and hiked for about an hour to the bottom of the road to find… nothing. No sign of land yachts. Only option was to hike back up for another hour and get a taxi to the hotel. Contacted the company via social media to be told the activity had been cancelled due to the weather (24c, sunny, light breeze!). Would have been nice to have been told before I wasted half a day of my holiday and €100 on taxis.

Be leery - before going out, find out the location & existing wind conditions: - In responding to my review of this excursion, instead of taking responsibility for his poor decision not to cancel the tour that day due to unsuitable wind/weather conditions, the operator appears to blame we travelers for the bad experience. He states: “The venue for the ride depends on a weather conditions”. Exactly!! “If a customer doesn’t accept the suggested option - there is always a room to cancel the activity and get the refund”. Sure, but consider that in being directed to a stadium parking lot and having relied on the photographs posted, I was at least picturing a wide open expanse. I was not picturing a concrete ramped parking structure, where the only movement of the sailing crafts would be from gravity on the down ramps, and by manpower on the up ramps, not the wind! The operator further relates that, “On that day all the sessions were at the same place and most of the participants enjoyed the process”. I cannot speak to other travelers who might have participated earlier in the day before our cruise ship was in port, but the ones participating just before us in the afternoon were from our cruise ship and had the exact same disappointment that we did. Moreover, there was one other group/person out there with us who left before we did given the situation. The operator further states that others “managed to control the kart. In case if our personnel see that someone has difficulties in that, they come and help people to make it easier”. Controlling the cart consists of turning a steering wheel, and controlling the sail by adjusting a rope. So, the operator seems to suggest that none of us out there seemed to know what we were doing, despite going to long lengths on his site to say how easy it would be. Speaking for myself, I grew up with a sailboat on the Gulf Coast in the States. Thus, I am well familiar with adjusting sails according to the wind direction. However, without any wind, one’s abilities in that regard are irrelevant! I said to the two men working their tails off to push everyone up the inclines, “There’s just not enough wind”, to which they both replied, “No”. We weren’t instructed to handle the sails any differently than we were attempting to do. It just wasn’t working due to the conditions. I tried to upload a video to demonstrate our experience on these crafts, but was not able to. So, I took a screenshot, which shows my wife and another participant then going on the incline ramp and where they both came to a halt. In the video, the other participant is seen trying to move the craft by using his hand to turn the wheel - kind of speaks for itself.. The two men out on the course ultimately had to come and push them both up the incline and far enough so that they could reach the second down ramp. At least the operator finally offered an apology, although it was only “that the activity didn’t match [our] expectations”. No, it did not; nor did it meet the tour operator’s, at least what is posted on his website: In the What to Expect section of his website, it states: “Please note that our activity depends on a wind. For that reason in case if you'd like to have a ride today please get in touch with us first to double check if the weather is suitable for the ride before making a booking!” The essential point I was making in giving the excursion a poor rating was that the operator did not cancel the excursion due to a lack of sufficient wind. That led us to believe that the “weather was suitable for the ride”, when it really wasn’t. I have no doubt that this activity could be a blast, as other travelers have experienced! That’s why we tried it in the first place. I would just warn future fellow travelers to note/ask the operator about the location and wind conditions before going to ensure that your precious travel time is going to be worthwhile. Be forewarned, if it’s intended to be held in a ramped parking lot, I’d skip it and ask for a refund.

Be very leery, this excursion is not what it purported to be! - MAJOR league disappointment! Of all the other things we could have done in Cyprus! This tour’s advertisement shows the land sailing on a beautiful beach by the sea. Instead, we were directed to the parking lot of a soccer stadium in an industrial area. To add insult to injury, there was not enough wind to move these land sail crafts. We moved when going downhill in the parking lot, but had to be pushed around by two men a majority of the time. After wasting our time for about 20 minutes, we called it quits. This tour operator should have cancelled the excursion as a result of the conditions, which is the sort of thing that other more honorable, Trip Advisor related operators have done in the past. Despite my pointing out there was just not enough wind for this activity, no apology by the operator was forthcoming. I’d spend my precious little travel time in Cyprus elsewhere.
