Additional Information

Our rendezvous spot is the “Terrua” coffee spot. Here, our companions from Terrua will enlighten us with their deep love for Peruvian coffee. After savouring the coffee, we will head to the city center via the “Metropolitano”, which is Lima’s primary public transport system.

We’ll initiate our tour at the city center, particularly around the “Mercado Central”. Here, you may sample a lucuma smoothie, another nutritious Andean delicacy that you’re sure to find delightful.

Following our visit to the “Mercado Central” and China town, our tour will proceed to the vicinity of the Congress Palace.

Our journey concludes at the San Francisco church, where we’ll taste “churros” and our classic Pisco Sour at the time-honored Cordano Tavern, which has been standing for over 100 years near the Government Palace.

Before we return to Miraflores, we’ll have spare time to snap photographs in Lima’s “Plaza Mayor” and appreciate the architectural grandeur of the Cathedral and Government Palace.

Yummy walking tour - Fabulous street food, we were stuffed by the end! It was great to learn both more about Lima and the traditional food and drinks, which goes to make Peruvian food some of the best in the World!

Local Lima. - Great experience. My guide was a native but spoke fluent English. Had been to school in the states. Showed me the central market where we sampled some of his childhood favorites, China town and Grand Hitel Bolivar where we finished off the tour with a Pisco Sour. Travelled like locals on the express bus lines from Miraflores to the old Central City. Fantastic.

Local street food and samples!! - SUPER tour! Diego was an awesome guide. We took the bus to Old Lima, then spent a lot of time in the city’s oldest market, sampling different foods. Chinatown, then street food, before taking the bus back to Miraflores. Don’t eat before this tour—you will be well fed. Highly recommend!!

Good tour with nice guide through Lima with great streetfood. - It's a very nice tour that brings you to the important tourist sites in the center district of Lima, but also tells you a lot about the local food and street food. A good tour you won't leave hungry. Our Guide Miguel was very nice and helpful, and we now have more ideas for food to try then we can eat during our stay.

A must! - Ximena was amazing! She was knowledgeable, passionate, and our conversations still stick with me. The food was great, but the context was invaluable. She was also really flexible and helpful with some scheduling issues we had. A huge thank you to Ximena for making our Lima visit extra special!

Awesome walking tour of Lima!! - We had a great time with our guide Rudi. We met him at coffee show terrua where Andrea made us amazing coffee. We rode the metropolitan (public bus) and headed to the market to taste a smoothie made with local fruits. We continued to experience amazing local flavors. Churros. Arroz con leche with fruit. Brochettes. And finally a delicious pisco sour at the place it was invented. An extraordinary experience made possible with our guide Rudi.

Good variety of foods to taste - Ximena was a great guide. Very knowledgeable about Lima and Peru. We tasted a variety of great Peruvian foods. And visited a lot of different establishments. There was something for everyone. We chose to stay in the historic area after the tour ended and she explained the bus system to us, so we could easily take the bus back to Miraflores. (The bus is very cheap and efficient between the historic area and Miraflores).
