The first stop is one of the 50 most romantic parks in the world, located in the Miraflores neighborhood, known as Parque del Amor. This park is a vibrant and intimate haven for couples, offering a stunning view of the sea. Inspired by Park Güell in Barcelona, it features a central sculpture called “El Beso” by Peruvian sculptor Víctor Delfín.
- Huaca Pucllana - The tour continues with a panoramic visit to the Huaca Pucllana Archaeological Site, a sacred site of the Lima culture.
- Plaza de Armas (Plaza Mayor) - Next, the tour explores the historic center of Lima, walking through its main squares, streets, churches, and remnants of the ancient City of Kings.
The tour includes a walk through Lima’s main square, where an experienced guide will share the historical background of the old viceroyalty of Peru. Visitors will admire the architectural monuments surrounding the square, such as the Cathedral of Lima, the Archbishop’s Palace, and the Government Palace.
After the historic center tour, visitors will explore the ChocoMuseo, a museum store showcasing the history of chocolate and cocoa in Peru, with opportunities to taste typical liquors and jams made from chocolate and cocoa.
- Casa de la Literatura Peruana - Continuing the walk, visitors will see the old abandoned station now transformed into the House of Peruvian Literature. There will be opportunities to appreciate artisan shops and time to purchase Peruvian crafts. Following this, visitors will explore an old colonial house now a small traditional bar, where they will learn to prepare Peru’s signature drink, the “Pisco Sour.”
- Museo Convento San Francisco y Catacumbas - Finally, the tour includes a visit to the Convent, Museum of San Francisco, and its catacombs. A 30-minute guided tour will explore some of the city’s oldest cemeteries located beneath the San Francisco Convent. Afterward, guests will be taken back to their hotel, or if they wish to stay for lunch or dinner in the center, the return will be at their own expense.
