• Miraflores - Participants will be picked up from their hotel, and once everyone is on board, the journey to the Sierra de Lima will commence, leaving the city behind and entering a landscape filled with mountains and ravines.

After about three hours of travel, the group will arrive at the quaint village of San Pedro de Casta, the gateway to the Marcahuasi plateau.

Here, a light breakfast box lunch will be provided to energize everyone for the ascent. During the meal, the guide will offer a brief introduction to the history, geology, and mythology of Marcahuasi.

• Marcahuasi - Equipped with trekking poles and in high spirits, the group will begin the hike.

The trail ascends through an arid yet breathtaking landscape, offering panoramic views of the valley and the Rimac River.

The hike is challenging but will be conducted at a moderate pace, with breaks for rest and photography.

Upon reaching the summit, participants will encounter a scene reminiscent of another planet. Surrounded by massive rock formations sculpted by erosion over millennia, they will discover intriguing figures such as “The Monument to Humanity,” “The Toad,” “The Sphinx,” and “The Prophet,” each with stories and meanings that the guide will help interpret.

• Marcahuasi - After exploring the plateau and capturing unforgettable photographs, the group will begin the descent back to the village.

The descent is easier and offers the opportunity to admire the area’s flora and fauna, with the possibility of spotting condors or vizcachas in their natural habitat.

Upon returning to San Pedro de Casta, the group will proceed to a rustic restaurant where a lunch featuring the typical flavors of the Peruvian Sierra awaits.

Dishes such as fried trout, Andean soup, or chicharrón con mote, prepared with fresh, local ingredients, will be available to enjoy.

• Lima - After a day filled with adventure and stunning scenery, the group will board the transport for the return journey to Lima.
