Nice small group introduction to Lima - This is actually two tours. The morning comprises of the city center and monastery. The afternoon is the Larco museum. There were five of us for the morning tour - a family of four and myself. The guide was very knowledgeable and very proud to share her knowledge of Lima and Peru. Although I had a tour of the city center two days before I learned even more the second time which tells you how much there is to experience in the center. The highlight was to see the changing of the guard at the presidential palace. There as supposed to be a 1 and 1/2 hour break but I elected to continue with the Larco museum. This is best seen with a guide because much of pre Colombian history involves understanding the various civilizations through pottery. I was the only one on the museum tour. You definitely get spoiled in Lima with the small size of tours at a reasonable price and you learn so much from the well trained guides in Lima (three years training required for licensing).

Lima Stuns - The Larco Museum was great. I has no idea that pottery was as extensive and sophisticated so long ago. The architecture of Lima, the plazas, and the food (lunch on own) were also presented in interesting detail.
