Street food tour Lima. - The food vendors we visited offered some of the most amazing tasting food we had had in Lima to date. We started with corn and cheese, a simple dish but one to get the stomach ready for the upcoming delicacies. We then moved on to a street corner full of vendors. Here we sampled cow heart and intestines. Unsure of how this was going to taste, I was excited to try something new. The heart had a surprisingly different, but extremely delicious, peppery taste to it. A huge surprise, and one I would eat again. 10/10 rating. The intestine was similar to eating calamari with more flavour. We moved on to a stuffed potato, different as it was mashed potatoes with meat, garlic, and a few other things. 9/10 rating. We had a traditional Peruvian meal, sorry I cannot remember the name; spaghetti, potatoes, and chicken. 8/10. Then we had the most delicious ceviches mad by a street vendor. We had the top rated ceviches in Miraflores at Punto Azul and it was top notch. This one was a step above. You can see the care and dedication he put in to creating this recipe. 11/10. We visited a market where we sampled local fruits and vegetables. The tour finished with two desserts. The first being a rice pudding and red corn sauce. Yummy, 7/10 from me as a rating. Then some delicious donuts with syrup. Such a top rated tour. Highly recommended to anyone visiting Lima, you get the true taste of made Lima and Peru a top food destination of the world. Book this when you are in Lima.

Next level tour - Nothing comes close! Bruce's guide to Lima had trumped all other walking tours in South America for me. We started with the Lima street food tour - and ended up loving it so much that we went straight into his Lima History tour (5 hours in total - loved every minute). No scripts, just thoughtful and incredibly adept knowledge of the cities history and anthropologly. Uniquely, his insight cannot be found on wiki, as it stems from his incredible efforts to gain knowledge from local historians, poets, authors, chefs and artists that hold the real truth to understanding and enjoying Limas (And Perus) culture. If you want to stay away from the tourist traps, scripted walking tours and unrealistic reprisitations of Lima - Stick with Bruce. Moreover, he was an exceptional person, fun and extremely passionate about cultural exchange. A unique jem and amazing tour.

Amazing food tour and other options! Must try experience in Lima , amazing your guide(s)! - By far the best tour, let alone food tour I have ever taken. Overall experience was amazing, visited local hole in the walls and street vendors experiencing many different types of local Peruvian foods, in places you would never be able to find, and also lots learning about the different dishes along with other aspects of Peruvian culture. The food was amazing, Bruce was very knowlegable and also tailored the experience to the different members of the group. 10/10 experience and would recommend to anyone wanting to experience not only the local cuisine in Lima but also its culture.

A delicious tour with heart, history and insight - The Lima Street Food Experience was truly one of the best guided tours we have ever taken. Our guide took us through different neighborhoods to taste an incredible variety of local delicacies. What really stood out was how thoughtful and knowledgeable our guide was. He adapted the experience seamlessly for one person in our group who didn’t eat meat, making sure they could still enjoy every stop without missing out on the culinary experience. But this tour was much more than just food. Along the way, we learned so much about the rich history of the Inca civilization and gained a deeper understanding of Peru's cultural and social complexities. Our guide also spoke openly about the ongoing racism faced by Indigenous communities — an eye-opening and important part of the experience. It was engaging, insightful, and absolutely delicious. Highly recommended for anyone wanting to discover the real Lima through its flavors, stories, and people.

Luuunch - I was the only one and it was a whirlwind! We chatted and ate and ate and ate delicious and wild food. Luckily not cat! But beef heart and ceviche! I’m glad I didn’t eat lunch beforehand. This was a fun way to explore the area in a way you can only do with a local.

Highly recommended - No big groups! No only boring dates! A perfect experience for everyone that wants something else than standard. Bruce is very knowledgeable about history and literature but has great food recommendations from his food tour as well! We had the tour during the sunset which created an amazing atmosphere in the city.
