Best museum in Peru - This museum was without a doubt the best we visited during our holiday in Peru. We found an excellent variety of objects on display with a detailed explanation thanks to the multi-lingual panels. It gave us a nice overview of the pre-Inca and Inca populations. The collection of jewels and gold of the Incas is not to be missed. Furthermore, it is impressive to enter the warehouses and see the quantity of pottery contained in the display cases. Finally, outside the Museum, next to the restaurant, don't miss the entrance to the exhibition for adults only with the figurines linked to Inca sexuality. Definitely a gem.

Nice stop to get caught up on Inca tradition. - This is a lovely tastefully organized museum which focuses on Inca history, The Inca people and traditions. It is not a large museum but everything is displayed beautifully and very well explained in multiple languages. You would not need more than 2 hours to see everything. There is a restaurant on site as well as a gift shop. The museum is however a 1/2 hour cab ride from Miraflores depending on traffic.

Very organized and complete - From what I visited, it is the only museum in Peru that sequentially presents pre-Inca civilizations, passing through the Incas and ending with the republic. Very well organized and with many pieces on display, some of them incredible.

Great introduction to ancient Peruvian history and culture - The museum, in addition to being located in a very beautiful building with beautiful gardens, has a very wide collection of pre-Columbian artifacts covering practically all ancient cultures, from ceramics, textiles and gold and silver artifacts. You can learn a lot from the tour information, as well as having a guided tour. It is also worth visiting the museum's “deposits”, where parts of the collection are kept outside the official exhibition, as well as a separate thematic gallery located at the bottom near the restaurant, which is also very interesting.

An impressive view of Peru's history - The museum is located on a private property, with gardens that are beautifully kept. There are two sections for the exhibits, the main area host an impressive collection of artifacts from various cultures and historic periods of Peruvian history, and there is a small separated area for seductive artifacts. It is a very informative and educational visit.

UNMISSABLE MUSEUM IN LIMA, PERU - Right at the entrance to the Museum we noticed the beauty of the place, beautiful gardens, beautiful flowers and a great experience of learning about Peru's archaeological culture. Many pieces and even an erotic museum showing human reproduction and various cultural aspects. The updated ticket is 30 PEN for those over 60 years old and 30 PEN for everyone else. It is very far from Miraflores, the neighborhood where I stayed and which I recommend.
